About this listen

There are plenty of adventures to be had in Darrell's first term at boarding school. Life at Malory Towers is full of excitement - if only she can keep her terrible temper under control!

Darrell's back at boarding school and her classmates are full of surprises. Just who does new girl Daphne think she is? And is there really a thief at Malory Towers?

Two new girls have arrived at Malory Towers - and they couldn't be more different! Tomboy Bill spends more time with her horse than in the classroom, while American girl Zerelda seems determined not to fit in with the others. Darrell has an exciting term in store. Not only does her sister Felicity start at Malory Towers, she's made Head of the Fourth Year! But can Darrell live up to the responsibility of the role?

The Fifth Form is putting on a pantomime, and Darrell's writing it! But Cinderella doesn't always go smoothly. Which girl will get to play the lead? And who on earth is writing the producer anonymous letters?

New girl Amanda doesn't really fit in at Malory Towers. She's headstrong and arrogant - but is fantastic at games! Amanda's destined to swim for the Olympic team - but will she make it?

The story is full of pleasant English imagery and language. It's dated, though quaint might be a better word. Lovely to listen to, though not as good as nostalgia lead me to believe.

Classic Enid Bylton

I loved to relisten these classics, but I would have loved the complete books instead of this abridged version.
