About this listen

The story of one man’s experience of a major stroke and his attempts to recover from it ….. but, enough of that - this is also an account of a dog’s experience of life with unpredictable, irrational human beings and his attempts to deal with all of that.

Eric Sinclair is a writer and teacher living on Deeside in Aberdeenshire. He suffered a major stroke in 2004, at the age of 55. Prior to that, he worked in schools and colleges in West Africa, Turkey, Germany and the UK. For ten years he was Head Teacher of Kirkwall Grammar School in Orkney, and for a short time was Head Teacher of Aboyne Academy in Aberdeenshire.

In 2011, he was runner-up in the Scottish Association of Writers Castles in the Air competition for his short story Spirit of Fako.
