Publisher's summary

In this New York Times best seller, Tyrese Gibson, multi-platinum R&B singer and movie star, and Rev Run of Run-DMC and star of Run's House, present a bold, honest, and uncensored look into the male mind.

Tyrese and Rev are the unlikeliest of best friends - Rev is married with six kids, and Tyrese is a single dad still hesitant to settle down. But after an unexpected argument in which Rev insisted that marriage is forever, and Tyrese countered that you could bail when the sex went bad, the two decided not just to agree to disagree, but to team up and open their debate to a larger audience.

Manology will help you weed out the cheaters, manipulators, and pimps from the good men, and it will give you the tools to know if your man is the marrying kind. In "Manology after Dark", the guys even give the lowdown on what men need in bed, before and after they put a ring on your finger. Some behavior can't be changed, but as Tyrese and Rev share, it's better to face the truth. With Rev's hard-earned knowledge on how to make a marriage work, and Tyrese's sometimes uncomfortable, but always honest take on the single man's mind-set, Manology is your one source to help you take control of your love life and truly understand your man.

A Must Read for All Women

This book was raw, informative, challenging, and thought provoking. Being newly divorced, I was looking for books to teach me about the behavior of men and this one did. But, it also taught me about my behavior as a woman. Relationships, friendships, sex, money, adultery, forgiveness, communication and insecurity are all addressed in this book.

Thank you guys, I needed this

Schwooo. I now know I ain’t crazy and it’s not just me. Lol. Thank you brothers for the blessing of sharing these experiences and insight. I was entertained and informed. I’ve even been able to share some of this “sauce” in a smooth way to squash a game that my man was playing. He didn’t see that coming. But my arms were open for him to return to the love. I love Rev Run’s be a professional forgiver..,,keep the love pipeline open

Great information.

I need to hear everything that these 2 shared in his book. It gave some insight to me in my own personal walk in relationships , things that I knew and things that I would have never thought.

Informative

Narrator was awesome, as I find that in most of the audibles. I read this book to see if I would agree or disagree with the things they mentioned. I found it's definitely a book for the women that feel they can't seem to find the right man. Look for the non-committal signs early if you're looking to settle down and get married.

Imagine a hypnotist....with a swinging fob

That how I felt listening to these two diametrically opposing views. Both took extreme views on black men and women dating and marriage scenarios. I will admit there is great info in their words but you have to know how to cherry pick it. I appreciate Tyrese’s truth. My takeaway is this book will help women understand how to be with the most desirable (rich, handsome, successful) men. It also provides some insights on the average brother. If you have some experience with men you’ll understand this book better.

Informative

The title for this book will have u thinking this is just how men think but the points made in this book go far beyond relationships the information given is and can be used for everyday life some of the topics touched on make u look at ur self and what needs to be worked on within you before you even think about another person... I enjoyed this so much

thought provoking

This book is rather informative in some aspects, and enlightening on the immaturity of men in others.
Basically 50% treat your man like a child so he doesn't have to fully mature into an equal partner in the relationship. 25% calling both genders out on their BS, and 25% of absolute hidden gems of insight.

If you utilize the advice this book contains as a thought provoking experience on the condition of men, its really interesting. if you take this as a direct what to expect and how to guide, you'll be dissatisfied.

Narration was great, but there were definitely a few edits and patches that could have been smoother.

Manology

As I shared with my sister, I am a 49yr old, married, mother of 2 kids under 10yo. There is nothing in this book that I found relatable to my life. Though I thank Tyrese and Run for sharing their insights, nothing Tyrese explained described my husband -before we married, or now, and we met at 20yo and 23yo. My husband was just NOT that guy and we both grew up in the hood of Jamaica Queens and Flatbush Brooklyn. And I have NEVER been that girl he described. So I can truly say he is NOT speaking for all men/women, though I’m sure SOMEONE can use this insight. As for Run, the only advice I could appreciate was given in the last chapter. And for that I say thank you! 😊
