 "Manuscript of Madness" follows Professor John Castellanos, a writer and academic, who receives an invitation to deliver a keynote lecture about his first novel, "Bridge of Souls," at an academic conference. Excited yet anxious about speaking publicly again, he travels to Cambridge, where he finds himself in a grand historic setting filled with eager attendees. His lecture goes surprisingly well, reigniting his passion for academia.

However, the atmosphere quickly darkens when a body is discovered in the library, a researcher clutching a page from an ancient tome. As more murders occur, each reflecting scenes from John's own writings, he becomes embroiled in a chilling mystery. The college master enlists John's help to solve the case, and John realises that someone is using his stories as a blueprint for murder.

Drawn into a real-life drama more intense than his fictional tales, John partners with the local police, led by Detective Inspector Smith, to unravel the clues. As the body count rises, John is forced to confront the darker aspects of his creativity and the fine line between fiction and reality, all while racing against time to stop the killer before the next murder takes place.
