About this listen
TRADED. Dru has been traded by her captain to the Alliance Empire. She and the rest of the female crew from the human starship Dakota are to be married off, as the Alliance is suffering from a demographics issue, there aren’t enough Alliance women. Dru doesn’t care what kind of problems the Alliance has, she didn’t come this far, in her short life, to end up as a grey, alien man’s wife, no matter how powerful his civilization. But that’s the problem, humans are next to nothing in the galaxy. However, Dru has a secret, she is telepathic, and she hopes that this will help her escape her alien fate on the Alliance Capital Planet.
Ket of Imperial House Vo had not thought much about the human women being brought to the Empire until his eyes rested on the young red-haired Junior Doctor Drusilla, and he knew then it was the gods’ will that she become his wife. Despite knowing that humans are proud and unruly, he is sure that he can persuade her to conform to strict Alliance culture and make her humbly accept her new life in the Empire.
WILL DRU USE HER TELEPATHIC ABILITIES TO ESCAPE?

Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. Married to the Alien Doctor!
This is the second story in the "Renascence Alliance" series. It is an alien romance about Dru and Ket. The author created an interesting and intriguing science fiction story with an interesting spin. This is a very steamy read/listen with a possible trigger. I thought the narration was really good and brought the characters and their story to life. I look forward to reading/listening to more by this author.

Doctors
A young woman finds herself in the best and worst situation. She goes through culture shock, falls in love, makes enemies, and reinforces friendship. This book is dark, steamy, and funny. Recommend reading the series in order.

More Jill Smith
Married to the Alien Doctor is the third book that I've enjoyed from the Renascense Alliance Series. As expected, Alma Nilsson's writing is fantastic. Fleshed out characters, a full range of emotions, a wonderful storyline, and spicy goodness. I felt that this book had more worldbuilding than others in the series and made it easier to innerstand what the planet and culture are like. Best of all was the choice of Jill Smith as voice actor/narrator. Jill's range of vocal talent is fantastic. The portrayal of Ket is sooooooo sexy that I will be re-listening to this book.

Better than the first
This is definitely better than the first one. World building is great, as was the first. The characters are definitely better though than the first. Definitely read the tropes and make sure you are ok with them. This has great "intimate" moments (avoiding the Zon sensors) and is hetter written than the first. Makes me think I will stick around for the third ;)

It's Good
This is an excellent continuation from the previous story in this series, and I really admire the detailed world-building and the complex plot the author has managed to create and still make entertaining and not so complicated as to be convoluted. It's a good story with interesting characters, and the narration is well-done.

Recovery Is A Journey
Gleeful Goblin Review: I want to lead off my review by saying that as a survivor of SA as well as someone who was in a similar situation as described here in the note to readers that I appreciate this note more than I can say. I also am thrilled to see trauma and recovery addressed in the way the author does here; as a journey and unique to each person.
"Note to Readers: Please be aware the female main character in this book must confront a terrible memory of a sèxual encounter that happened years before. Because of her innocence at the time of the incident, she agreed to intercourse with brutal men in exchange for her freedom. She made this deal without any real idea what could possibly happen. This memory becomes important when she arrives in the Alliance Empire as she is expected to marry an Alliance man and have children. In the Empire, it is considered rápe if a woman does not orgásm before penetratíon. The female main character tells the alien doctors when she arrives that she has had sèx before, but never orgasmed, which is concerning for the Alliance doctors. First, they check if her condition is a physical one. When the doctors realize it’s a mental condition stemming from a rápe, an act that carries the deáth penalty in the Empire, they do everything they can, in their alien way, to help her to take back her sexualíty and reclaim what was stolen from her. Married to the Alien Doctor is her journey of healing on an alien planet and may not be suitable for everyone. Readers discretion is advised."
With that note in mind I'll say that if you have any medical related triggers that the scene being referenced could be pretty rough because the alien perspective doesn't really understand why FMC is not into forced orgásm via mechanical means as a testing method.
Once I was past that chunk of the story it was much easier to sink in and listen to what unfolds between our MC's since FMC is not exactly thrilled with the alien society she's now involved with and that causes....friction. There's a lot of good world building involved here and the voice acting is well done imo. 5/5 Stars.

Good story!
Married to the Alien Doctor is the second book in the series of Alliance Empire and Human interactions that in this story focuses on junior doctor Drusilla, one of the female crew members of the starship Dakota captured by an Alliance warship and now being transported to their capital planet.
Ket of Imperial House Vo is intrigued by Dru and after seeing her decides it is the gods’ will to make her HIS wife.
I enjoyed this audible version as narrated by Jill Smith which brings the characters to life and the listener engaged with the struggles of Dru’s assimilation into Alliance culture and her secret telepathic abilities.
This updated audible version is an excellent rendition of just one of the many books in this series of outstanding Sci-Fi Romance both well written and centered around imaginative world building.
