About this listen

This book does not aim to provide definitive answers about constitution but to share stories from the journey of seeking them. More detailed information about constitution, including acupuncture points, diet, herbal medicine, and formulas, can be found in my other books. This book may focus on lighter, peripheral stories, but these could be just as important. Often, constitutions and the logic of Korean medicine cannot be reduced to a single, rigid logic; they rely heavily on intuition. While sometimes dismissed as unscientific, Korean medicine and constitution theory hold immense practical value. They are certainly worth understanding and considering.
In the latter part of this book, I would like to introduce the meditation and qigong practices that I have trained in. My journey into Taoist meditation dates back to the early 1990s. I began practicing at an institute in my hometown of Busan, South Korea. Over the years, I moved to Seoul, New York, Sedona, and Los Angeles, yet I never stopped exploring various meditation practices that foster spiritual growth.
As an acupuncturist, I have also recognized how deeply Asian medicine is rooted in the ancient philosophical principles of Taoism. It teaches that a human being is a harmonious integration of mind, body, and energy. If we focus solely on the mind in meditation while neglecting the body and energy, our practice lacks a solid foundation.
I hope you have the opportunity to experience natural healing through constitutional acupuncture, meditation, and energy training.
