About this listen

It's the time and the place, but it's not all fun and games.

Emotions run high at Rosedale High as Tamar and her friends plan the junior class's year-end fundraiser—a school fair set to involve students, staff, and the community. Even when a series of puzzling incidents put a friend and their plans at risk, the teens are not deterred. They are determined to pull off a spectacular fair and help the police discover the source of all the mayhem on the midway.

Another Great Book

I’m sure this book is geared for a younger group but even us Oldies can enjoy it. It reminds me of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.

The narration is also enjoyable. Everything works well together.

fun cozy mystery

Mayhem on the Midway wa a cute, clean cozy mystery appropriate for tweens and up, IMO. It was a fun little escape from reality and the narrator did a nice job.

Loved this

The fact that one group of kids band together with many other school groups, faculty and community businesses was awesome. The fact there were opportunities for less fortunate to earn a living leading up to the even was awesome. The fact that a mystery was solved as well is even better. I look forward to listening or reading more of this series.

Sweet Story

I really enjoyed book 5, "Mayhem On The Midway" in the "Hannah and Tamar Mystery" series. Tamar and her friends are involved in setting up a fair for the junior fundraiser. Although some unfortunate events happened, Tamar and her friends decided to continue with their plans. The story was cute. The characters were delightful. I liked the family values represented in this story. Julie McCarthy's narration was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

upgrade Ron,please

This was a good one for young adults as it addresses a prevalent timely issue of today. The author handled it well. I can't leave a review without complaining about Ron, the self appointed house cop. He acts like he never stepped out of the 1920's in his mannerism, thoughts and actions. He irritates me to no end!!!! Please update this geek to this century!!
I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life .
