This book is basically a woman stating a disorder followed by random, unorganized, non-specific information. It is made worse by the speaker’s monotone voice and tedious reading of the material. Lastly, there was over 2-minutes of disclaimer at the beginning of this work. Put shortly, it was two minutes saying that the author and publisher are not responsible for any of the information being completely wrong/unrelated. Understandably, medical procedures and technology change over time. That single fact doesn’t create the need to disclaim that NONE of the included Information can be trusted. Anyway, typically I’m not a writer of reviews. However, my time would have been better spent with any other resource and I wasted a credit. There is no need for you to make the same mistake.

- Scott, B.A. and senior year B.S. nursing student

don't buy, the narrator is just reading the diagrams from textbooks. these are very useful diagrams but the fact that I bought this as an audiobook, expecting it to be more of lecture style book, I was very disappointed. it sounds like siri having a stroke

not useful as an audiobook

The information is good but the narrator is horrible, it’s flat and hard to listen to

Monotonous narrator+dull/factual content=disinterested listener.
This material does not contain review questions.
If you're expecting the same quality of content and explanation that you get from the NRSNG videos, I wouldn't suggest this audiobook. I'm not the kind that can learn from an emotionless monotonous voice about the ECG technicalities (e.g., it's measurements, patterns) one after the other. I just can't listen to it and get something productive out of it. But, compared to other NCLEX review audiobooks, this one was fairly priced. Although this book did not work out for me, maybe it will work for some people. The gamble is yours to make.

The narrator of this book sounds like an old computer. The way that it's narrated causes it to not even make sense. Don't waste your time or money. I wish that I didn't.

Worst audio book ever

This is terrible. I read the other reviews and figured nah, I’d just listen and take notes. But this is terrible. The woman reading this is so droll and monotone, I just can’t get my brain to focus long at all on what she’s saying. And her tone is so flat and un-changing throughout, that in some areas I struggled taking notes because I couldn’t distinguish when she had finished with one thing and moved on to something else. Very disappointed. Not at all the quality I was expecting from NRSNG… a total waste of money. I’m in a cohort of 16 and not a single one of us could make it through the whole thing. Definitely should be available in actual book format to be taken seriously.

I don't typically leave reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this book because I really struggle to get through it. The narrator is monotone and obviously not in the medical field as she mispronounced everything! She paused in all the wrong places and it was difficult to tell when she went on to something new. I also felt the content itself was lacking also. It discussed some of the typical diseases and disorders but some were described, some weren't. Some listed etiologies, most didn't. Many times nursing interventions weren't even mentioned and it jumped around from idea to idea. You won't pass your NCLEX with this!

Don't waste your money!

The info is great....if you like a monotone sound. The narrator can't pronounce most medical terms, including cochlear and Meniere's....to give example. Great for falling asleep to. I bought this book because I like John Haws and love his website. Unfortunately, this book doesn't hold to his normal standard, especially with the reader. :( Don't waste a credit on this!

the author can't pronounce the words correctly

Reader sounds bored and pronounced the following words wrong:
esophageal, ascites, & fasciotomy among a few others.
It's easy to muss headings while driving and listening, then the listener listens wondering what is being talked about.

Good to fine tune your knowledge, but hard to follow on topics you don't know well.
