About this listen

He’s the melody in her mind…

Beautiful Brianna Steel has her life planned out. Graduate college early. Check. Work with her father in the Steel family orchard. Check. Marry Jesse Pike.

No check there. Jesse has never given her a look.

Finagling her way onto a rock and roll tour with Jesse and his band, Dragonlock, should help move her final goal along. At least Brianna hopes it will. She’s been in love with Jesse since she was fourteen years old, and though she’s had several relationships, no one compares to the darkly handsome rocker.

Jesse Pike and his band just got their big break. Opening for Emerald Phoenix on their Europe tour could lead to fame and fortune, and his family desperately needs the money after a fire destroyed their livelihood. He can’t let them down, and he’s determined not to let anything distract him—certainly not vivacious cowgirl Brianna Steel, even if she is the most gorgeous woman he’s ever laid eyes on.

In the end, though, it’s not just his attraction to Brianna that puts the tour in jeopardy.

I loved the continuation of the Steel Saga, but the female narrator left a lot to be desired. I felt like I was listening to Betty Boop. Such a disappointment.

Great story!

MELODY Steel Brothers Saga Book 28 by Helen Hardt
This is another very welcome installment in the Steel Brothers Saga. This 28th book brings us Brianna Steel and Jesse Pike. She has had a life long crush on the ten years older Jesse, who is the lead singer of Dragonlock. He unfortunately has always seen her as his baby sister's friend. When Dragonlock is invited to go on tour with another band, Brianna knows it's her opportunity to get Jesse to see her as a young woman instead of a kid. This book ends in a cliffhanger and now we anxiously await the next book. This is as is to be expected, another extremely well written story from Helen Hardt. This one is narrated by Amanda Stribling and Lee Samuels who have done a great job with it. It is a 5 star read.

Brianna’s story starts here.. and it’s a doozie.

I’m an avid Helen Hardt fan, and I have lived every single book in the Steele series. The next generation ones are full of angst, mystery and drama. I’m enjoying learning more about this generation the family and their counterparts. In this we learn about Brianna and her life. Her love life is part of it. We learn more about the band Jessie and Rory are a part of, and we get a glimpse ok see into what Dragon’s past entails.

It’s a great book, with characters you want to know more about and you may get to meet some that you really want to know more about too! Helen Hardt never fails to draw me in with her ability to make you want more. The ending… well.. let’s just say that having to wait is gonna be frustrating!!! It’s good… very good!

Oh.. that ending!

As I have loved all the other books in this series I expected to enjoy Melody and I did. It is a good story, with great characters and a bang of a cliff-hanger which this author is definitely known for. I'm not a fan of cliff-hangers but this is the only author I will ignore that for. She has a talent for making each Steel story new and fresh while adding the history in that makes the books hard to put down. I highly recommend this series.

I absolutely love listening to a book as it seems to come alive more with details as I tend to read really fast and sometimes miss details. I enjoyed Amanda Stribling and Lee Samuels narration of the story and felt they did a really good job.

A great addition to the Steel Series!
