About this listen

Memoirs of Dr. Andrew M. Khan: Journey of an Educator, compiled and published by Author Brenda Mohammed, is an inspiring and motivational story.
The Foreword was written by a former Chief Justice of Trinidad and Tobago, Sir Isaac Hyatali, Q.C who stated. “He was one of the greatest intellectuals in this society.”
The young teacher Andrew, son of indentured immigrants, overcame all obstacles and became a trailblazer in Education in his country climbing the ladder from classroom management to School Principal, and Superintendent of Schools.
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago awarded him a scholarship to study teaching methods at the University of London, United Kingdom.
School violence was never heard of during his tenure as a school principal.
Dr. Khan earned his Doctorate from Florida State University in the USA.
He was God-fearing and later in life, he became the first Presiding Elder in the Presbyterian Church in Trinidad and Tobago.
He preached many sermons, some of which are appended to his biography.
Dr. Khan served in all courts of the church until his passing in 1975.
The Presbyterian Teachers’ Association and Board of Men honoured him with gold medals posthumously for faithful service to the Presbyterian Church throughout the years.
Teachers will love Dr. Khan's memoirs.
The book received four five-star reviews from Readers Favorite International.
Here is an extract of one of the reviews by K.C. Finn from Readers Favorite:
'Mrs. Brenda C. Mohammed has done a wonderful job in bringing the life, philosophy, and personality of her father, Dr. Andrew Khan, to life in this compilation of teachings.
As an educator myself, I was particularly interested in Dr. Khan's individualistic approach to students and the humanitarian way in which he achieved success.
Memoirs of Dr. Andrew M. Khan presents the life of an inspiring man who struggled through underprivileged circumstances to rise to the top of his field, all without losing his generosity of spirit or his creativity.
For educators, the book demonstrates how passion and planning can lead to a great many good things in the future, but for a wider audience, the book holds value as an inspiring story of faith and commitment to one's true path.
I would recommend this book for biography fans seeking a deep but feel-good read.'
