Having completed the first audiobook in the matter of days, I decided to take a short break before reading the second (mainly due to the introduction of a new narrator). Though I was slightly skeptical that this reader wouldn't live up to the standard I had set for the first, I quickly became fond of his tone and expression.

The story for this volume matches and surpasses the quality of the first. Areas that I had found engaging felt even more so, and because the author was more free to write (continuing an already introduced story), more venues for entertainment opened. Looking forward to a continuation.

For the most part this story did very little to advance the main character in my opinion. Except for the part at the very end the overall story was kind of lame and more felt like a lame rip-off of some anime story. this felt more like a side story then part of the main storyline. Like sitting around watching somebody else’s vacation photos. There was many times during the course of the story where I just wanted to put it aside and go on to something different but I knew the story wasn’t that long so I would muscle through it and see if it got any better hopefully before the end.

Very disappointed in this story.
