About this listen

In a universe where technology and the endless expanse of space intertwine, one man's journey to the top of the private space yacht industry becomes a test of both his technical expertise and mental fortitude.

Draxon, a gifted mechanic and Fria descendant, possesses the ability to see visions with just a touch, an advantage that proves to be both a blessing and a curse. With each touch, Draxon is faced with the knowledge that every creature in the universe will eventually screw him over. To combat the weight of this knowledge, Draxon turns to alcohol, but still struggles with the demons of his past and the limitations of his visions. As he sets out to complete the rebuild of the Hispa Dawn, Draxon must navigate the devilish details and confront his own personal demons to bring his masterpiece.

Blond curls and sky-blue eyes may have led many to believe Willow is just a sweet party-girl, but they soon learn the truth. Willow is the captain of the tow ship Adira, with a no-nonsense attitude and a hard-working mentality. With her crew becoming her family, she oversees a ship that runs like clockwork thanks to the efforts of the skilled Den and Ceril.

Willow and her team of tough and resourceful space tow truck drivers find themselves in over their heads when they're hired to save a yacht in a dangerous patch of space. With Farah off to Xi-Lebma and Willow feeling a bit down, this job may be just what she needs to shake off her blues and get back in the game. But with a yacht and the threat of pirate encounters, this job is far from a quiet one. Willow and her crew must draw on their skills and bravery to face the challenges ahead and bring the yacht safely back to port. Can they handle the stormy, pirate-infested space, or will they become the next victims of the dangerous area? Even worse, can she handle the drama Draxon seems determined to bring?

I'm seeing growth

I like this better than the Pirate story. This definitely had a more scifi feel. I may end up following this author.

Comfortable read

For a book narrated by virtual audio, the audio quality was better than I expected. Yes, this audio doesn't have all the emotive tones of a real voice but it didn't sound cold, monotonous, and robotic.

The story was a comfortable read. Nothing with too much angst or unnecessary plots. I wish the chemistry between the main characters was developed a little more so the listener could feel connected to them as they are to each other.

Overall good story!!!
