About this listen

WHEN WE DIE WE DON'T GO TO HEAVEN OR HELL. WE GO TO THE METAVERSE!

Writer Casey Smith is dead.

He was decapitated after the getaway car he was driving immediately after a bank robbery smashed into the back of a semi.

And yet, Casey Smith is very much alive inside the Metaverse.

But what he also discovers upon waking up in the Old West town of Deadwood in 1889, is that he is a wanted man for the crimes he committed while alive in the mid-21st century. Bank robbery and 2nd-degree murder. Who's hot on his trail? None other than Wyatt Earp himself!

From New York Times and USA Bestselling Thriller and Shamus Award winning author comes a new thriller inspired by the Twilight Zone or yore. For readers of Blake Crouch, Stephen King, Neil Geiman and more, comes a book that will both thrill and make your think about the future and the past. Plus there's more Meta Man to come.

The afterlife could be hazardous to your health.

Reading Meta Man wasn’t just entertaining, it was a peek into another aspect of Vin Zandri’s storytelling. While Meta man is a novella, it provided an origin for Casey Smith and the Metaverse he seems to find himself in after a gruesome death. This story is filled with action, interesting characters, suspense, and adult relationships. I wasn’t expecting anything like this when I started the book, of course had I read the description prior to starting I would have known what to expect. But why read the description, it’s by Vin Zandri so I know I’m going to be entertained from beginning to end. If you are looking for a quick read that is very original, give this one a try. As for me, I’ll be reading the other four in the series in the very near future. I listened to the audiobook narrated with virtual voice and aside for one mispronounced word it did a very good job of delivering the story.
