Publisher's summary
Being free from the mob is complicated...but so is loving Jack.
Jack and Franki are safe for now, but the Familia isn't the only thing keeping them apart. Our barrier is written as plain as the words tattooed beneath the red and beaten skin, the discoloring that has nothing to do with the bruises, but everything to do with the man. That when I read them have a pit forming in my belly.
Death before dishonor.
Justice before mercy.
Vengeance above all.
Who is this man? Can I trust him? And, in all honesty, do I really want to know?
And so it begins...

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Great ending!
I'm a huge fan of mafia romance, and this book delivered, and I loved the ending. The storyline is fantastic, packed with romance, drama, suspense, and action; it captured my attention from start to end. The characters were well-developed, especially Franki and Jack. I thoroughly enjoyed their journey.
Debbie Soelter narration has much improved, and she did an excellent job portraying the characters' personalities, emotions, and their connection. I'm definitely going to recommend this series. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Wonderful Conclusion!
This is the third part of the Married to the Mob Series, a Dark Mafia Romance. The story continues where the second part left off. This is a wonderful conclusion to Jack and Franki's story. This Series is original and intricate, filled with drama, mystery, and action. Debbie Soelter did a good job with the narration. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
