Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Story
Alice's journey begins as all good journeys do: hitting on the sales guy at REI. After a tumultuous breakup, a quick career transition, family upheaval, and a sobriety journey that didn't fix her life quite as much as she expected it to, Alice decides that the only way to solve all her problems is to hike the Pacific Crest Trail. But as she begins preparing for the months-long quest, she realizes the answers she's seeking might not be on top of a snow-covered mountain. Especially since she just learned there was snow in California.

Just OK - the show is better
You really appreciate Mike and Mike on the radio after hearing this book. They do a tremendous job each and every morning, however their rendition of this book was a little dull. This is the first audiobook that I felt the readers were actually reading from a script - you could tell the two are not used to doing this. What makes them great is there honest, off the cuff reaction to each other's thoughts and, of course, these thoughts were a little forced.
It's a quick book (only a little over 4 hours) and it comes at a good price (around $8 for members) so it is a nice, quick read. I would say it was worth the purchase, but don't expect Mike and Mike to sound like Mike and Mike.

I’m a little late to the book…
Here’s the deal…I enjoyed Mike & Mike when they were on the radio. I got this audio thinking (and it was) I could revisit much of their old schtick. While it was entertaining hearing their old debates and banter, I was put off by the production of the audio, the same narrator voice for any quotes of anyone outside of M&M and their wives and honestly…. The biggest was they were reading their banter, not “saying it.” I understand it is an audio book, so I shouldn’t have expected the old magic, but unfortunately it was their voices reading their banter and it made it very hollow.

Hilarious
I don't really care for Mike and Mike too much but I definitely enjoyed this audio book a great deal. And I absolutely love their Indendence Day idea, which would make the firework celebration on the first Thursday of every July!

A Real Disappointment
First let me say that I am a big fan of Mike and Mike's Radio Show, I listen to it almost every morning for at least 2 hours at my desk at work. They've been promoting the book heavily and I was excited to get to listen to it, but what a disappoinment. The formatting is clumsy and there's no real flow to it, I realize they are reading the book, but it sounds like they are reading the book, which of all the audio books I've listened to this is the first one where it really sounded like they were struggling to read something they have written. Other audiobooks let you get lost in the reading, this one smacks you back to reality every few minutes with one guy doing all the readings of the regular guests on the radio show, so one person is doing the "voices" of Stink, Dicky V, Mel Kiper Jr., John Clayton, etc.... and they all sound exactly the same. Mike and Mike also promoted on the show that their wives would be a big part of the book, in reality they have a few minutes at the very end, which is not very entertaining at all. Now did I get a few laughs out if this, yes I did, but fewer than I expected I would definitely not recommend it.

Stick to Radio
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Putting the terrible content aside, Golic's performance was lacking, but actually better than Greenberg's, who at times sounded like a child being forced to read from the pulpit during mass.
Any additional comments?
Composed of feeble attempts at humor and legitimately sad performances, this book was at times hard to listen to, but I will always love Mike & Mike and am glad to support them, just as long as they stick to radio.

Meh...
I watch Mike & Mike every morning on as I get ready for work. I LOVE the show and the chemistry between them and their guests. The promotion of the book caused me to download it from Audible.com.
I listen to audible books in the car during my commute. This book was very boring at first but these guys are great entertainers so I kept listening, hoping it would get better. Nope. I had listened to about half of it when I finally just stopped listeing and admitted that I was doing them an injustice by getting mad at them for writing and promoting such an awful book. I never did finish it.
i still watch and listen to the show every day and enjoy it, but the book is not a good "listen". I have no idea if it's a good "read", but definitely not a good listen!
