About this listen
We wouldn’t dream of sending a soldier into battle without essential gear: body armor, a weapon, and knowledge of the enemy’s motives, strategies, and weaknesses. Yet, many parents today unknowingly send their children into the psychological battlefields of daily life— where they face a barrage of deceptions from academia, social media, politicians, peers, and beyond—without equipping them with the necessary defenses to survive and excel.
Worse still, while their children frequently become casualties in today’s mind wars, these parents remain oblivious to the very existence of these conflicts. For the parent eager to uphold truth in a world rife with deceptions, Mind Wars acts as both a cautionary guide and a strategic manual. It reveals the covert tactics wielded by those in power to manipulate public opinion and outlines methods for developing enhanced critical thinking skills to resist these insidious influences. This book is more than a mere story—it’s an insightful journey into the depths of the mind, challenging you to see and fight the invisible forces shaping our reality.

Story
Most parents want to help their children develop critical thinking skills in order to understand truth and avoid being deceived. Yet this desire doesn’t help someone learn how to actually make it happen. How can parents—how can you—actually raise a critical thinker? Sometimes the best way to learn a truth is to explore its antithesis. Just as darkness helps us better comprehend light, perhaps we can better understand how to raise critical thinkers by considering how we might do the opposite.

Tens of millions of Americans owe a combined $1.5 trillion in debt for student loans. Much of this staggering expense has been unnecessary. Attending college is more of a tradition - a cultural rite of passage - than a necessary step toward a successful career, thus not justifying its steep cost. As countless entrepreneurs and creative hustlers have shown, there is a path to success outside of the institutions of so-called higher learning.

Anarchism has been both a vision of a peaceful, cooperative society — and an ideology of revolutionary terror. Since the term itself — anarchism — is a negation, there is a great deal of disagreement on what the positive alternative would look like. The black flag comes in many colors.

Story
Do you need parenting advice on how to inspire your child to love learning? Whether you homeschool, or send your kids to public or private school, this is essential listening for your situation. Why? Because schooling has become a disaster. Your child's interests and uniqueness are disregarded, and structured curriculum and standards like Common Core place them on a conveyor belt that treats all children the same. This system crushes a child's curiosity. Your child deserves better!

Story
Nephi puts us on notice in his very first sentence that The Book of Mormon was written by temple worshippers and for temple worshippers. He and the other prophets of The Book of Mormon, who called themselves the visionary men and the peaceable followers of Christ, knew and practiced a mystery, an ordinance by which they ascended through the temple and entered into the presence of God. This ordinance was embodied in a dramatic representation of the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Eden and their return to it, in which initiates played the roles of Adam and Eve or their descendants.

This is a fantastic quick read on propaganda.
If you are choosing between this and a classic like Bernays, Ciandini, or Lippman, I'd recommend this first.
On the one hand, I wouldn't say it is a perfect substitution for a more thorough treatment such as Lippmann's Public Opinion. But it does give you about 80% of the knowledge in 15% of the length.
On the other hand, even if you have read the classics, I consider this a necessary supplement, given how much the style of media matters (even Lippmann marveled at political science's ignorance of the effect of newspapers of his day).
Furthermore, Mind Wars reminds you of the non-stop onslaught of propaganda we’ve faced in the past decade or so. It is incredible how much I had forgotten.
Last, it leaves you with a way to keep yourself sane and make the world better.
And Connor Boyack narrates his own book!

Important read for teenagers and young adults!
This book should be a requirement for all teenagers and young adults. Especially those who were affected by the lockdowns and forced medical decisions. This book clearly explains the hidden wars going on in the world that use 5G warfare, or, like the title states, Mind Wars. It is great to hear the author, Connor Boyack, read because he can clearly show emphasis on the important points of the book. It’s an easy read and is never boring. The stories told are exciting and relevant.

Must-Read
This is written at a level that any teenager can follow. The info is incredibly important as censorship and propaganda has increased at breakneck speed in the past 4+ years. Too many of our loved ones sound brainwashed, voicing the speaking points of pundits. Maybe the truth in this book could set them free! Many of us haven't known just how far back our government's interference in media goes. I hate being lied to, and learning how long it's been going on could shake up a few people. Please, please, please read this and share it. Let's empower more people in our culture.
