Publisher's summary

"If Dave Chappelle and Eckhart Tolle teamed up to write a book for men, this would be it!" ~Debra Poneman, Author and Creator of Yes to Success Seminars

Both a hysterical tell-all memoir of the author's stumbles and triumphs in becoming mindfully masculine, as well as a practical drivers manual for navigating the twists and turns of mature manhood, Mindful Masculinity is a joy to read or to listen to.

Scott Grace, once a prolific recording artist and stand-up comedian who opened for Robin Williams and many other legends, brings his comic touch to a very serious subject.

Covering courage, success, failure, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, developing intuition, money, relationships with women, sexuality, vulnerability, and everything else men face every single day, the book offers both men and women hope for a brighter and more peaceful tomorrow, a future in which men use their masculinity in the service of their hearts to make the world a better place.

If you are fed up with the current cultural buzz words, 'Toxic Masculinity', this book offers not only a healthy, non-toxic vision of manhood, but a practical road map to get there.

“I am very proud of Scott. He was quite the troublemaker while growing up. Now when he stirs up trouble, as he abundantly does in this book, people pay him for it. Bravo, my son! This is your best yet. Don’t let it go to your head! Note to Reader: His sense of humor came from me.”~Scott’s Mom, Co-author of Scott Grace

Critic reviews

“Mindful Masculinity is raw, refreshingly honest, and a great deal of fun. Men will benefit greatly, but so will women, who will cheer from the sidelines and line up to buy it for their guys. You will not be able to put it down.” (James Twyman, Author of New York Times bestseller, The Moses Code)

Manning Up

"Mindful Masculinity" is sui generis. (I've always wanted to use that term 😀.) It means that there is nothing else quite like it—it is in its own category.

Most of us grew up under the yoke of unwritten rules concerning what we had to do to conform to rigid stereotypes of manhood or womanhood, to be a "real man" or a "real woman." Apparently, it hadn't occurred to many of our forebears that we could simply be our authentic self, whatever that might prove to be. For males, this has meant cauterizing our emotions so that we could kill people in wars. It was framed as being strong but has actually weakened us and has cost everyone dearly. Fortunately, many young people today are having none of it and are demanding the freedom to explore gender in its full spectrum of possibilities.

Increasingly, toxic masculinity is being called out on the table, rightly so, but that also leaves some men feeling defensive and clueless about how to find their true manhood. "Mindful Masculinity" takes a different tack, instead using loving playfulness to explore how we can all find greater freedom to be ourselves and have healthy relationships. In the audiobook version I listened to, Scott intersperses the often humorous text with clips from his large catalogue of joyful, expertly produced songs, and adds a bonus concert at the end.

Scott writes very well and sneaks in some deep shit, man, using a spoonful of organic evaporated cane juice to help the medicine of healing go down. Highly recommended for people of all genders, bodies, and ages.

The Spiritual Dr. Suess is priceless!

This is my one and only book review. writing for me is like getting teeth pulled normally, but after reading a little of Scotts book I really felt like his wisdom, wit and humour made the book something special.
he shares his journey from being an uncertain youth to being inspired and a wonderful singer/songwriter with amazing wisdom like a spoonful of sugar to help us peel back the layers of our masculinity and find what we need to realize to change into the more sensitive men who are comfortable with our feminine sides too.
Scott reveals tips on being better partners and lovers and
shares stories that are heartfelt and real and he gives us permission to give ourselves time to pamper ourselves a bit. Scott says " relaxation leads to monetization" This is a good reminder for me.
I strongly suggest the audio book as he adds a concert at the end and his music is truly wonderful!
I am a singer and musician myself and his brilliance is inspiring! yes, I read to the end and devoured every word!
thank you Scott!

Is this really about masculinity? Or just humanity?

Loved this book, it brought me many insights in a very refreshing way. I am someone who reads a lot of self help, philosophy, spirituality and metaphysics. Scott took all of this, and made it relatable, accessible and funny. Thank you!

Scott Saved My Life from a brutal inner critic & I’m forever grateful!

I love Scott’s brilliant turn of words, his playfulness & his honesty. This book is for Women as much as Men. Scott has a God given talent for healing & humor. Scott can heal the most broken of hearts, especially mine.
