About this listen
Mindfulness isn’t just for yoga mums and hippies—it’s for blokes who want to stop their brains from stitching them up. If you’ve ever overthought a text, lost your rag in traffic, or lain awake replaying that stupid thing you said three years ago, this book is for you.
This book is short ‘cause it doesn’t dick about. No fluff. No nonsense. Just straight-talking, practical mindfulness that actually works. You’ll learn how to:
Shut down stress before it takes over
Stop overthinking and clear your head
Stay cool under pressure
Sleep better and switch off when you need to
React less, respond better, and take control of your own mind
Forget sitting cross-legged on the top field at Glastonbury or chanting in a cave—this is mindfulness for real life. Written by the author channeling Ray Winstone’s Sexy Beast character, Gal Dove, Mindfulness for Blokes gives you the tools to stay sharp, stress less, and take charge of your own headspace.
Because your brain should work for you, not against you.

Great Book for All Blokes Alike!
Mindfulness for Blokes is exactly what it claims to be—no fluff, no nonsense, just straight-talking, practical advice that actually works. Chris Thomas delivers mindfulness in a way that feels refreshingly real, cutting through the usual self-help jargon and making it accessible for the everyday bloke.
I found this book to be a great reminder that mindfulness isn’t about sitting in a lotus position or chanting in a cave—it’s about taking control of your own mind. The strategies for shutting down stress, stopping overthinking, and staying cool under pressure were spot on and easy to apply. The humor and blunt delivery kept me engaged, making complex ideas feel simple and doable.
If you’ve ever found yourself overanalyzing things, stressing over the past, or struggling to switch off, this audiobook is worth a listen. It’s short, straight to the point, and full of practical wisdom. Definitely a solid recommendation for anyone who wants to get out of their own head and take charge of their mental space.

a refreshing take on mindfulness
It’s not your typical self-help book with abstract, philosophical concepts. Instead, it speaks to real-life struggles—work pressure, relationships, personal health, and the daily grind—and provides grounded solutions for each. The language is blunt and engaging, appealing to men who might be skeptical about mindfulness or simply don’t have time for anything too complex.

Genuinely fun
I think men need to spend more time on their self-care, and this is a great entry point. It's got great info, presented in a very digestible format. I got a lot out of this, for sure.

Great guide to mindfulness for men
A really relatable and direct guide to mindfulness especially tailored to men. I purchased this audiobook for my husband and we’ve been listening to it together, I think what he appreciated most is that it left out the usual waffle that comes with explanations of mindfulness. He is starting to implement the advice into his daily life and says he has already noticed a change to his stress levels!

Excellent
No chanting, no sitting on a mountain, just direct advice that actually makes sense. Breaks down mindfulness in a way that doesn’t make u roll ur eyes, which is rare. The parts on shutting down stress and overthinking hit home, and it’s all stuff you can actually apply instead of just nodding along and forgetting about it later. Quick listen, no BS, solid tips worth it.
