Publisher's summary

This box collection contains books one through four in the Mismatched Mail-Order Brides Series. These historical western romances are set in 1892.

The Peashooter Society's Plan, Book 1
The older members of the Clear Creek church women’s group, informally known as the Peashooter Society, decide to help the unattached women in town obtain husbands.
The group’s solution, with the backing of a wealthy financier in town, is to advertise that they will offer jobs and housing to the prospective grooms they pick for the unsuspecting women.
The young women are appalled at the idea when they catch wind of the women’s plan—until they see the handsome male finalists. Maybe this will work out after all…until the couples matched, clash.

Amelia Changes her Fellow, Book 2
Barton likes Amelia Shepard, but the ladies have matched him with a different woman. He works at his new job at the blacksmith shop, trying to keep everyone happy, but the spunky Amelia keeps wandering into his thoughts. Then things happen when Amelia decides to change the man picked out for her, for Barton instead.

Avalee Exchanges her Fiancé, Book 3
Gordon’s appointed job is to work with the Taylors, an older couple, as they try to decide to down scale or retire from their mercantile store. Not only does this frustrate Gordon, it makes him question if he wants to stay in town or venture out on his own. The thing that keeps Gordon in Clear Creek though, is Avalee Paulson, the doctor’s assistant who is fighting off the attention of an unwanted suitor.
Gordon offers to be Avalee’s fiancé to get the man to leave Avalee alone, but then feelings develop between the couple.

Maggie Shifts her Gent, Book 4
Peter and Maggie start a friendship which grows into love, but they aren’t sure they want the same thing when it comes to marriage and life in Clear Creek. Then a chance meeting of a group of orphans on a train cements their future.

A lot of repeating chapters.

The story lines of each of these characters are great but I don’t like how each of the books first several chapters are all the same as the previous. It could have been shortened by just getting to the point of the next couple. You can skip the first several chapters after listening to the first book. But it is good other than that.
