About this listen
Miss Caroline Parker wants nothing more than to train her ponies, horrified that her family is pushing her to find a husband during the upcoming London Season. Captain Thomas Ogden, a wounded war veteran, is shocked to find he will inherit an ancient title and a dilapidated estate from a reclusive marquess. According to his mother, the only hope for Thomas is to find a wealthy heiress to wed in order to restore the faded fortunes of his unexpected legacy. Caroline and Thomas pledge to cooperate in finding the best of the lists of Eligibles and Suitables proposed by their respective families. But as they work together, they can’t help but fall into Cupid’s snare. Will they be able to make the difficult choice between true love and happiness or the security of a wealthy match?

If you enjoy romances from the period of matchmaki
Caroline and Thomas' story was entertaining. So if you enjoy romances from the period of match making for money and status, where the couples rebel against what is expected and actually champion true love, this is for you. Infatuation turned to love for these two, and the wait was on for them to come to their senses and get their HEA, which they did. Narration brought the characters to life.

4.5 Overall
I am completely enjoying Victoria Hinshaw's audiobooks. This is the third one I've listened to so far. Thomas and Caroline have to overcome societal expectations to find their HEA. I was frustrated, sighing, and even laughing a couple times. A sweet story to the end.
June deBorahae is an excellent narrator. She voices male and female characters perfectly. She brought this audiobook to life with an emotional performance. Well done!

A Parade of Ponies Rein in a Charming Regency Romance
If you love the swoon worthy and bold female leads of Jane Austen and the sizzling tension (but PG-13) of “Bridgerton,” this novel by Victoria Henshaw will make your heart pound, fans flutter when hearing the drama, and sides split from the witty, funny, flirty, but oddly pure dynamic with Caroline and Thomas.
The story follows the formula for your regency romance, issues with social classes, scandal, and how to be the belle of the season. But it is composed well, prettily, like you befriend these characters. And our fine narrator, Lady June, brings them to life in the grandest wave, everyone having their own special voice.

Sweet Regency Romance
I liked Caroline and Thomas's sweet regency romance. They are both interesting characters. The storyline is fun and entertaining. I liked this slow burn romance. June deBorahae did a great job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it. #PFPAudio
