Book 1 of the 3 Titled Gentlemen Find Love Series

London, 1790s. 2 dukes and an earl lead pampered, privileged lives whilst the French Revolution rages. They have it all. Except love.

Appearances can be deceptive.

London, 1793.

Daniel Glenham, Duke of Brackenshire, living a rich, privileged life in England, needs to marry. He's an only child, son and heir, and his father died in the last year. He's the new duke, and must provide an heir of his own. His dowager duchess mother and the ton insist he marries a titled lady, but he finds himself reluctant to commit himself to Bella, the daughter of a baron and the bride society has chosen for him. She's a classic English rose, but there's no passion between them, and he wants to marry for love, amongst other things.

Violette Boudon, daughter of a French duke, flees to England from the French Revolution disguising herself as a servant in case her enemies come after her. Her parents succumbed to Madame La Guillotine in Paris, and she's no idea what happened to her siblings. Completely alone, she's a humble lady's maid and she gave up hopes of marriage a long time ago.

When Dan and Violet meet by chance, lightning strikes. Can a duke and a servant ever be together?

Not much angst, just enough conflict. Good to listen to while doing chores - folding clothes, etc., just the right length and does. Or need a lot of time commitment.
Insta love. Would be better if the relationship development is a little longer.

The tie up in the end is too fast seems like it was just one or two short paragraphs. I would love to read a longer ending or an epilogue.
Other than that, I liked it.

Very good love story
