About this listen

Modern Esoteric examines the flaws in modern history and looks at how conspiracy theories, esoteric knowledge, and fringe subjects can be used to help change the dead-end course humanity seems to be following.

The Lifeology section explores the long and storied "alternative narrative" of life on this planet. In the Control section, author Brad Olsen examines how Big Brother is here in the form of the New World Order, and how they keep the knowledge of humankind's true nature from the mass population. Finally, the Thrive section looks at all the ways humans are evolving to achieve their full potential.

Wonderful book, underwhelmed with reader

This book is excellent and full of gems. I've learned a lot from it and have also been affirmed. I recommend it to anyone seeking truth & wisdom for themselves. However, I was very underwhelmed with the reader. There were moments I had to rewind and didn't really catch what was being read because of the mispronunciation, odd pauses, and general lack of flow for much of it.

Terribly Narrated

The content is good but the narrator is horrible. You can hear the phone ringing in the background as he’s trying to focus on narrating and all the background noise and loud breathing, burping etc… not a big fan. Cannot get through the material because I get annoyed at the narrator for being so bad. I will not be finishing this audible.

Here is a toast to the Zhwadevivra 😂

The narrator was not a professional narrator but he was delivering the truth so it made it even more real. Thank you for taking the time to document all and narrate.

Conspiracy Theory Manifesto

This is so obviously a recording the author did by himself, probably sitting at his computer with a USB microphone. He frequently pauses and stumbles over his words, and at times you can hear computer chimes in the background, and for some reason none of that was edited out. As far as the book itself, it's extremely long and doesn't have very much info about anything esoteric as much as just a warning that everyone is out to get you, all of the 1%ers are utilizing occult methods to achieve success, and the world is going to end soon. It honestly reads like a poorly edited, self published manifesto written by a guy in his basement who could solve all the world's problems if he could just make people listen to him. It's entertaining in that way but not super educational.

Unlistenable

The information could have been interesting. the intro to this book was way too long.

The narration of the book is god awful. So many mispronounciations it's unlistenable. He's full on burping and slurring his words. It sounds like he's switching recording on his iPhone and his laptop. Like dude, buy a decent USB condenser mic and learn how to use Audacity or Reaper. Learn to compress and normalize your audio.

Poor reading of common material

I have tried so hard, but just cannot do it! Yet another author trying to save a buck and read his own work, but can’t pronounce words properly. Also, why do these narrators read so slowly? It’s painful! Even at 2X speed it’s too slow. If you have any interest in this subject and have spent a few hours watching YouTube, TV shows, podcasts or reading another book, you will have heard a lot of this content already. Yes, there is some new information in here, but it is not worth waiting through all the commonly known information that dilutes down this book. Regarding the audio version, it is not the worst I’ve heard, but it is not good. The author shows his ignorance multiple times per chapter with incorrect pronunciations. Two of these terrible pronunciations were in the chapter I just finished and had to stop the book entirely: Galileo Galilei pronounced Galileo Galalehlee (like ukulele), and zoroastrianism pronounced Zorro Austria nism. With all these mispronunciations and some erroneous information regarding secret societies, and liberal biases towards meat eaters, who knows how much of this information is correct and how much of it the author wants to be correct? That is enough for me! I wish I would have listened to an excerpt from this book before purchasing it and the entire three book set! I’m going to see if I can get a refund.

AWFUL!

Authors should never narrate their own books unless it is a memoir & the author is a professional.

The narration is so bad that I had to stop listening after about half an hour.

I wasn’t a credit on this crap. Don’t waste your!

Curious effort

Some interesting content here. Mostly stuff you’ve already heard about. I understand the author is also the reader of the book. It’s an interesting fact. My impression is that the reader has never met the author. This is purely based on the number of mispronunciations of major terms in the reading. Not sure what to say about that.
