Do you have a coven of vampires in your belfry? Or perhaps a werewolf infestation has taken over your neighborhood? Or maybe those pesky living dead have risen from their graves and are eating your neighbors. If so, then don't take it lying down. You can do something about it. Contact Monroe's Paranormal Investigations. We always get our man...er, monster.
(Disclaimer: Monroe's Paranormal Investigations is not responsible if you are beheaded, gutted, or turned into a creature of the night in the service of our duties.)
Follow the adventures of Mike Monroe and his sexy partner, Roxy as they fight werewolves, vampires, and other creatures of the night in Monroe's Paranormal Investigations. Whether it's fighting zombies in "Tombs of the Undead" or fighting off a pack of werewolves in "Border War", when duty calls, they get the job done. All the while, the sexual tension between them sizzles.

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

A brilliant collection of campy good fun!
Mike and Roxie are quite the pair! Together they travel the globe to investigate and eradicate out of control vampires, werewolves, zombies, mummies, or whatever paranormal happens to be making a pest of themselves! They go where they’re needed, do what needs doing, and THESE are their stories! The writing is FANTASTIC! The characters are colorful, varied, diverse and beautifully defined. The scene setting is vibrant, delightfully gross and graphic, and features plenty of bloody guts and a generous dash of adult humor! These stories are not for those with delicate sensibilities, but then, neither are monsters and ghouls! So grab your headphones (you WILL need them), leave logic at the door, and immerse yourself in this vibrantly written, fabulously narrated journey into monster mayhem! And I do mean FABULOUSLY narrated! The voice selection for the various characters is genius, the comedic timing perfection, and the emotional intonation spot on! I love it when vocal intonation gives clear indication as to what a character is FEELING! It really helps me understand the characters mindset, and truly breathes life into the author’s words! I throughly enjoyed this collection and unhesitatingly give it five frightening stars!

Monroe’s paranormal investigations
So, about this book. Overall the stories were very interesting. There was like different adventures every 3rd chapter. It is taken from a man’s point of view. At first, it was kinda funny the way that the main character was constantly talking about his partners private areas. Kind of like what people think the epitome of what goes on in an American man’s mind. But it gets kind of overdone after a while. I wanted to say isn’t this guy suppose to be a man not a 13 year old boy coming into puberty??? There is still funny bits all through the stories though. It does has almost every paranormal “monster” there is. As to the performance, Benjamin Koenig has a good, understandable voice. He gets very excited, even screaming at some points of the stories. I don’t know if he read some of the words incorrectly or if they were spelled wrong but it was only a few and probably only bothered me because I hyper focus on things like that sometimes. Then there was some words that just sounded, weird in how he said them…. but again I don’t know if that was because of the performer or the spelling of the words. Overall, the stories were interesting enough and the performer did excel with changing his voice, speaking clearly, and the expression of his voice for the mood of what was going on in the story. I was glad I was able to listen to this story.

Fun
Mike and Roxy fight vampires, zombies and other paranormals in a collection of short stories in Monroe’s Paranormal Investigations by David Donaghe. The narration by Benjamin Koenig was great. His performance brought the characters and story to life. I received a free audiobook for my honest review.

Horror Comedy
This is book is about a former military man who decides to start his own paranormal investigation agency. It has a collection of stories about how the hero dispatches vampires, zombies and werewolves in gruesome ways along with his female partner. Along with the horror bent, it is also has numerous mentions of the stereotypical female anatomy.
I listened to the audio version which narrated by the fantastic Benjamin Koenig, who did a wonderful job with character voices and guiding the story along. His voice was better than some other narrators I've listened to and I listen to hundreds of books a year, Hard to believe that this was his first book, he's very talented.
The subject matter isn't my normal cup of tea. I received a free copy for an honest review.
