A fantastic collection of sea monsters and more. Cryptic fans will enjoy it.
This is an incredible, well documented work, unlike most of the Cryptid collections that tell stories, yet have no facts. The author seems genuine and honest and did an amazing amount of research and also used that research to objectively validate or offer his view of what these creatures could be. The stories were interesting, people eaten by monsters, ships taken down by krakens and some fun personal stories by the author himself. If you love the mysteries in the world of Cryptids and Sea Monsters you’ll love the book. I found the author to be intelligent and dedicated in his mission.
What I didn’t like.
The only reason I did not give this title 5 stars all the way around was because it was done with virtual voice. There are several sections that ended with all the references and citations. The virtual voice painfully reads all the long URLs letter by letter. A better solution would be to have 1 link to a website that had all of them linked and ready to click. Also there are several pictures, videos and drawings referenced. I would have loved to see those witness monster drawings as a pdf or web link.
Overall. I liked it.

Awesome!
Loved the details and theories so much I've listened to his interviews and take on what is in the book. Both the book and the interviews are fantastic. Growing up in the ocean and looking for these things when I was a youngster makes this a "dream come true" book for me. So worth it.
