About this listen

Can Moonlight convince the cops he's not responsible for a shipment of illicit drugs smuggled onto a plane bound for Rome?

Or will he get himself killed in the process? In Moonlight Breaks Bad, the "head-case" detective tries to escape Albany, NY and the memory of his beloved Lola altogether, for a new job in Rome, Italy, as a house-detective at a 5-Star hotel.

But when an Italian beauty lures him into joining the "mile-high club" while his feet are still firmly planted on the ground, Moonlight suddenly finds himself the focus of a drug smuggling event that involves not only a crooked band of TSA members, but also the mafia.

From NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY Bestselling author, Vincent Zandri, comes the next installment in the internationally acclaimed Dick Moonlight, PI series. For fans of Charlie Huston, Don Winslow, and Harlan Coben, the Dick Moonlight series is pure noir, tossed against a backdrop of hard-boiled action, with some romantic/suspense tossed into the mix.

From the opening scene of Moonlight Breaks Bad I knew I was in for another crazy adventure with Dick Moonlight. Once again, he does more thinking with his little head than the one on his shoulders. And where do you suppose that get him? Well, that’s why you need to read or listen to this story to find out just how deep he gets himself in the proverbial steaming pile of stuff.
Is this a story for everyone? Probably not, but for those of us not opposed to descriptions a little graphic sex or violence oh hell yes, it is most certainly. I’ve read or listened to each of the Dick Moonlight stories and been fully entertained by each. Moonlight Breaks Bad is no exception. Vin Zandri outdoes himself in this Moonlight short with the character descriptions. It’s obvious neither Moonlight nor Zandri are infected with the woke virus.
I listened to the audiobook narrated with virtual voice. While virtual voice can be a detractor in some works, The virtual narrator’s voice Mr. Zandri has chosen for his Moonlight books seems to fit them perfectly. It’s like listening to a radio play from long ago.
