J. T. Douchett has returned home to shut out the world and escape the memories that haunt him from his final mission as a Marine. When he reluctantly agrees to provide security for a town event, the last thing he expects is to experience unbidden feelings for Irish movie star Mary Joyce. Mary has surprised everyone-including herself-by accepting an invitation to a film festival in Shelter Bay. The Oregon coastal town immediately charms her, and an even larger surprise is encountering the stoic man who could be everything she's dreamed of.
As J.T. struggles to keep Mary at arm's length, she reminds herself that she's never been attracted to the strong, silent type. And having known so much sorrow, he's afraid to risk getting close to anyone. But in Shelter Bay, even the most strongly guarded heart is no match for love.

Would you consider the audio edition of Moonshell Beach to be better than the print version?
I like listening better because I can continue to do other things and still enjoy a romance along the way. What was one of the most memorable moments of Moonshell Beach?
His trying to protect her when people are scheduling her appearances. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When he went with Mary to see her dyeing grandmother in the hospitle, and say good bye for the last time. His being there to comfort her after her grandmother dies.Different Slant for romance

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
yes, I purchased Susan Deneker's JoAnn Ross reads and got hooked on this author. All the stories by this reader and S.D. are worth the listening time. Good story, romance and dialogue. So many listens today are so very dark! This is up lifting and makes you feel good while you are listening. Isn't that what a good listen is all about?Who was your favorite character and why?
Our heroine, she is just a lovely breath of fresh air. This author captures the spirit it takes to make you just plain what to keep listening. With over 100 books J.R. has written, I hope Audible, gets more of them. They mysteries, were hot, fast and with great dialogue.Which character – as performed by Sophie Eastlake – was your favorite?
Mary! Ms Eastlake is not my fave reader, but when she does an Aussie, Irish or Scott accent, she is FABULOUS. She reads as Erin Malon, and she is great as she reads at a faster pace. She is a talented reader, no doubt about it. I just can not stand readers who read very slow, and some of S.E. reads are too slow for me.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yup!Any additional comments?
Audible, please get more of JoAnn Ross reads, but do not have coleen Marlo read them. This is one reader, I will not buy. Her southern accent under tone is just not for me. Susan Deneker or Karen White can bring this author to life."Good Times"
