Publisher's summary
What if the architect of Earth had second thoughts?
Mona is no ordinary girl; she's the creator of Earth itself, a being of immense power with a growing contempt for the flawed beings she once nurtured: humans. But when her twin sister, Penny, challenges her to experience life among them before passing judgment, Mona is thrust into the vibrant world of the Pacific Northwest.
In this cozy fantasy, Mona, with her sardonic wit and disdain for humanity, must navigate the complexities of human emotions for the first time. Living among the very creatures she despises, Mona's rigid views are tested by the messy, chaotic, and unexpectedly beautiful reality of human life.
Enter Noah, a man whose unwavering optimism and deep connection to nature challenge Mona's cynicism at every turn. As their paths intertwine, an unexpected romance blossoms, forcing Mona to confront the possibility that perhaps there's more to humanity than she ever imagined.
Will Mona's journey lead her to appreciate the complexity of life, or will it reinforce her resolve to wipe out humanity once and for all? Mo(ther) Na(ture) is a cozy fantasy, coming-of-age story for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Rainbow Rowell.

Unique concept, sister dynamics, great narrator, plus what even IS being human?
I loved this book! First of all, the author NAILED the Bellingham of it all, which was super exciting for me, as I miss that place ALL the time (especially the food). I also enjoyed the nuances of Mona learning more about how people speak as the story went on. There was a lot going on in this book—sibling dynamics, grief, aging, the definition of love and how it’s expressed, not to mention the most overarching question of whether humanity is good for the earth.
There’s a chapter that takes place in a library that manages to be traumatic, funny, and poignant simultaneously, which is not an easy feat.
The narrator for the audiobook was really great. She did a lovely job of making Penny and Mona’s voices unique, and I really loved how she brought the other characters to life too.

Love Letter To Humanity
Such a fun story! It’s a book about sisters, a book about being in love for the first time, and more than that it’s a love letter to humanity. It’s funny, and sweet, and somehow makes me want to be better. Would recommend!

Wonderful listen!
Mother Nature is upset with humanity and what we have done with her creation. Shes ready to end us all when her sister steps in and offers a deal, live amongst the humans, experience it and then, if you still hate them, go ahead and destroy them.
