Fast paced without feeling rushed

This story grabbed my attention pretty early on, and it kept it after. I'm afraid to go into spoiler territory, but I really liked that it was able to feel fast paced while also giving information about the characters' personalities and emotions in a natural way. A very nice balance. I definitely recommend this if you like dark and suspenseful stories that aren't overly heavy. I can't handle stories that fall too much into that, and this was seriously perfect for me. I had a lot of fun listening to it and am wanting to see other stuff by this author. This one has a cliff hanger that killed me but in a good way. I want a sequel haha Also, the narrator did an amazing job. She voice acts out the characters' dialogue, and that elevated the story so much. It was very convincing.
