Publisher's summary

Charm. Old money. A six-pack. Loves dogs. He'd be the perfect guy - if I wasn't suing him.
Mr. Hot-shot lawyer has no idea I'm the girl he swore he'd have his day in court with.
I lied.
Gave him a fake name.
I couldn't wait to see the look on his face when we'd meet again in small claims. But the kiss we shared under the stars was explosive. Fueled by months of pent-up anger. Maybe he had figured out who I was, after all, the girl who fell for Mr. July.

She thinks she's playing me. Newsflash: I'm playing her. I know exactly who Ms. Lawsuit is. But I wasn't expecting her long tanned legs, sunkissed hair, and innocent eyes to distract me from annihilating her. Maybe it's time to change this game around. After all my mama always said make love instead of war.

Authors Note: This is a full-length 60k-plus word stand-alone novel. HEA, no cheating.

Awww Worthy Perfection!

Ryan was suing him. Wasn’t she? Chase was going to mop the floor with her. Wasn’t he? But as the saying goes, fate is fickle and fate had other ideas. Mr. July is a fantastically narrated enemies to lovers, romantic comedy. This slow burn gem has all the feels! There is no insta-love here. Jax Hart takes the time to really develop the story with off the charts character definition and thorough plot development . You really get to know the characters and get a very good grasp of the plot before the sizzle starts. This story is sassy, creative and seriously laugh out loud funny! Jax Hart is fast becoming one of my favorite authors! I can’t wait for her next book!

Fabulous!

Jax Hart has written a wonderful story with romance, love and it was fun to follow Chase and Ryan. Chase had a twin sister called Charlie and at the beginning he thought Ryan was a male. Boy did he get a surprise when he found out Ryan was all women. I got a big laugh when Ryan threw a bachelorette party and trashed the house.
Rodney Falcon is an excellent narrator! He can make you feel all the emotions, male and female characters with ease! I loved it!

opposites attract

I enjoyed the emails between Ryan and Chase. Kudos to Chase for being the bigger person in the end. It was sad that Ryan's friends were so thoughtless and immature that they caused such havoc to the rental- karma comes when you least expect it in life. I enjoyed the witt, snark , and chemistry. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Terrific Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is a well-written story that grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with. Chase Carmichael is an attorney for a hedge fund firm he is career focused, he aims to be the best in his department with a goal is to climb the corporate ladder. When one model his sister Charlie hired for a calendar shoot does not show up, she gets Chase to pose, proceeds from the calendar sales goes to charity. There was going to only be a limited amount of calendars made available, but they sold so well they made more. Chase was not happy about that but what could he do. He also turned over a new leaf, he was sick of superficial on night stand and decided he did not want to be a player anymore. He is making a side business with his summer home, renovating it and renting it out. Excited about landing his first tenant, thinking he was getting a nice quiet one turns out to be something entirely different and it turns disastrous for him. Ryan Hill is a hardworking college student, she had plans for an internship and had a guaranteed a spot until her ex stole it from her. Luckily, she landed another spot, one that would start sooner. Before she starts, she and her friends are holding a bachelorette party for a friend who was having a shotgun wedding. Ryan rented out a summer home for a weekend of fun. But a blackout, an accident with some wine, a stripper and too much partying causes a mess, one she left up to her friends to clean up. But that is not what happens, and the landlord is livid and threatened to sue her and it just so happened that landlord, Chase, is a lawyer. He did not not intimidate Ryan one bit, and she gave as good as she got. The witty banter between them was too funny and, you could imagine steam coming out of Chases’s ears. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is entertaining and there is never a dull moment. There are some great secondary characters too. Jax Hart thank you for another great story!

🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Rodney Falcon is a talented narrator and voice artist. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays and plays the roles accordingly. He sets the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with with ease, landing the humor effortlessly without missing a beat. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the characters’ emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.

Love it

This is a sweet and funny enemies to lovers sort of listen. Rodney Falcon does as amazing job as always. Ryan and Chase each have their funny moments with emphasis on how their email interactions are and the misunderstandings Ryan gets with her name. My fav is how determined Chase is when it comes to Ryan. Perfection. I was given this audio in exchange for my honest unbias review which I am giving. Cute listen for sure.

Struggled

This was my second Rodney Falcon book. I think he would be fantastic with a dual or duet narration, such talent, I would love to hear him play off another narrator. He did what he could. The story wasn’t very strong and it left much to be desired. Sorry 😔
