Story
What if your favorite characters came to life? Billy’s spending the summer in a lakeside cabin that belongs to the mysterious Dr. Libris. But something strange is going on. Besides the security cameras everywhere, there’s Dr. Libris’s private bookcase. Whenever Billy opens the books inside, he can hear sounds coming from the island in the middle of the lake. The clash of swords. The twang of arrows. Sometimes he can even feel the ground shaking. It’s almost as if the stories he’s reading are coming to life! But that’s impossible...isn’t it?

In middle school, words aren't just words. They can be weapons. They can be gifts. The right words can win you friends or make you enemies. They can come back to haunt you. Sometimes they can change things forever. When cell phones are banned at Branton Middle School, Frost and his friends Deedee, Wolf, and Bench come up with a new way to communicate: leaving sticky notes for each other all around the school. It catches on, and soon all the kids in school are leaving notes - though for every kind and friendly one, there is a cutting and cruel one as well.

Excellent sequel
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
A great followup to the Library Olympics. Keeps up the zany feel of the first, yet stays original.
What did you like best about this story?
Not only were there balloons, but also plot twists, and banana shoes. The engineer as hero was a nice touch.
Any additional comments?
Jesse Bernstein brought good performance, however after the amazing performance he brought to the library olympics, this was something of a disappointment. Many of the characters had different voices this time around, and some of the joy was missing from Mr Limoncello. That said, had we listened to this first I would have had no complaints.

Narrator Changed Voices from book 1 to this
How could the performance have been better?
I was disappointed that the narrator changed the voice of Mr. Lemoncello significantly, to where in the first book he sounded like an eccentric, this book he sounded much more foolish and bumbling. I never got used to the new voice, unfortunately, throughout the performance.
