Story
I started my backpacking days in my late 20s and have not stopped since. I still feel there are so many new places to discover, people to meet, new food to try. When I was a newbie traveler, I made many mistakes, forgot to take essential items, and just made some bad choices. Over the years, through experience and learning from others, I have learned what you need to do to travel as safely as possible, what essential items to take, how to take care of your health, and how to make the most of your trip.

Any additional comments?
This seems more like something a blind person would appreciated since its mostly a listing of tourist-related things, e.g. hotels, walking tours, passport info. Along with each agency, the narrator speaks the addresses and URL's ("dot h t m l", etc.) which gets boring fast. This did not translate into the audiobook format very well.
But the narrator has a beautiful voice.

They ACTUALLY read URL's verbatim
This wasn't a waste - and I'm not returning it - but the audio format is just a poor fit for travel guides where they're trying to pass along phone numbers and websites for museums, restaurants, etc. Reading a URL, especially when there not just giving the domain but getting down to the .aspx file extension- just should not be done - EVER. It got to the point where I almost started drumming my fingers on the steering wheel each time - and they're German URL's so where there are umlauts they have to spell out the diphthong. UGH!
There was some valuable information and, having visited Munich before, I picked up some info, but you quickly realize the printed word is what you want - probably to carry around on your trip. I don't take notes very often / and I am NOT going to be transcribing URL addresses anytime soon.

Too many websites - not enough history
Was looking forward to a brief history lesson and mentions of places to visit and why we should visit instead we got reviews of the author’s favorite hotels, sites and restaurants along with their websites agonizingly spelled out. Ugh

Waste of credit
40% of the time is spent spelling out websites. Horrible. Don’t waste your money on this.

A great guide
I was going to Munich and this audiobook was an invaluable companion during my trip. It is very resourceful, with relevant, up-to-date content and plenty of information about the city, sights, cool places and ways to save money while in Munich. The guide is well organized, easy to listen and I found the web site address details extremely helpful. I created my itinerary using this material and had a great traveling experience in Munich. I would highly recommend this audiobook and its contents.
