About this listen
Frontenac is a corrupt city of vice, sin, and murder. On a rainy day (but what day isn't rainy in that industrial wasteland?) an underage prostitute and a rookie cop are murdered.
No one cares. No one lifts a finger.
Killebrew cares. Recently returned from the big war overseas, Killebrew has learned a few skills, like how to break things and kill people. He is now determined to use his knowledge to remove anything and anyone standing between him and justice for his kid sister.
With the help of a beautiful lounge singer and some of his old pals from the war, Killebrew intends to smash Frontenac down to its dirty core and stomp all the cockroaches who attempt to flee.

Story
Michelle will never get tired of the view from her office window. Jagged mountains—and the wintry streets of Reykjavik, Iceland. It's a perk of her new job at Kimia Pharmaceuticals. Her old life—a dreary 9-to-5 and a cheating ex back in London—already feels a million miles away. Still, there's something strange about Michelle's new colleagues. They're all young, beautiful . . . and aloof. But then Michelle meets Lars, a jittery researcher from the restricted upper floors. She thinks she's alone in the elevator, until he squeezes between the doors. Just in time.

This book is AMAZING!!!
As a long time fan of Scott Bell I was very happy to see a new release from him. My only disappointment was that J Scott Bennett wasn’t the narrator. After listening I decided that Joel Richards was probably a better choice for this book and Mr. Bell knew better than I! The tone of this story is very grave and Mr. Bennett’s narrative probably would not have suited this book as well as Mr. Richards’s.
The plot of the novel is well laid out in the publisher’s summary. The protagonist (Killabrew) is on a mission to find out who murdered his much younger sister. She had been working as a prostitute for a charlatan in a minister’s clothing. What he didn’t realize was the scope of his operation.
Once breaking into the man’s operation he finds multiple underage girls being forced into prostitution. He also finds many upstanding powerful men who come to use and abuse them and sometimes the girls don’t make it out alive.
Killabrew declares war. He calls in a few close friends and of course things don’t always go as planned. There are casualties that fuel his fire. And with a fantastic ending Killabrew … Never mind, if you want to know the answer you’ll have to get it and listen to it yourself!!
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!
