About this listen

Cathy Dorne is looking forward to winter break. Teaching is her passion but she's vastly overdue for a break from the classroom and a visit from her sister.

But before the final bells rings, her principal is found dead of an apparent heart attack. And if that wasn't enough of a shock, Cathy is then confronted by the dead woman's ghost only to discover everything might not be as apparent as it seems.

Juggling a houseguest and the ghost of her dead boss threatens to shatter Cathy's peaceful little world. Why is she suddenly able to talk to ghosts, who could murder someone as kind as Principal Victoria, and will she ever get through the mountain of laundry that has piled up in her apartment?

Lighthearted and fun Whodunit

A fun read to"get away from it all", with a few unexpected twists and turns along the way. I think that teachers would be attracted to the storyline which takes place in a school. I found myself intrigued by the narrators ability to portray so many different voices. Her narration was strong and very pleasant to listen to. I had to double check to make sure that there wasn't more than just one narrator.

This gets an "A" in my book!

This is a quick, fun mystery! With such a large pool of potential suspects, the author keeps you guessing until the very end. The hidden hints and details are all there, but not so intricate that you can't get right back into the story after an interruption. The narrator did a great job balancing character voices with the "setting the scene" narration. My favorite spots were the interplay between the main character and her sister--sometimes sarcastic, sometimes sweet, always totally believable! I enjoyed listening to this story and would recommend both the author and narrator to others.
