About this listen
First off, I'm not a violent man. Quite the opposite. I didn't even kill anyone until I was forty-two.
Björn has been given an ultimatum: repair his work-life balance, or his wife Katharina will leave him - and take their daughter.
He reluctantly starts a mindfulness class and to his surprise, it's a revelation. He becomes calmer, more focused, and he's starting to understand what's really important in life. So when his client and brutal crime boss Dragan Sergowicz tries to interfere with his precious family time, Björn remembers his new-found goal to find serenity - and kills him.
Now Björn can deepen his practice and calm his mind. Be here, now. Take a breath. And kill again . . .
'A razor-sharp satire on stressed-out modern society, a darkly comic and hugely entertaining crime thriller and - believe it or not - also a handy guide to improving your life through mindfulness.' ROBBIE MORRISON, author of EDGE OF THE GRAVE
'A violent, feel-good rampage of a book where the pace and positivity never let up. Twisted and hilarious!' CALLUM MCSORLEY, author of SQUEAKY CLEAN

Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Story
We all have things in our life that we should know by now, but don’t. Absences in our knowledge and skillset that are frankly shameful in an adult. Things that would be too embarrassing to ask anyone to explain – except our very best friend. Listen in as Mel and Sue tackle their ignorance head on, asking each other to explain something that they still don’t know - but absolutely, as adults, should - from how to parallel park to fully understanding bread (why has it got all those holes in it? What, honestly, is yeast?).

A Mindfully Murderous Masterpiece
Rarely does a book come along that is equal parts hilarious, intriguing, and… instructional? Murder Mindfully by Karsten Dusse is a wickedly clever novel that blends crime, satire, and self-help in a way that left me both laughing out loud and contemplating my own (entirely hypothetical, of course) list of people who might benefit from an abrupt and, dare I say, mindful departure from this mortal plane.
The story follows a beleaguered lawyer who, through the power of mindfulness, finds a unique way to handle his problems—namely, by eliminating them with deliberate, present-moment awareness. And honestly? The logic is hard to argue with. We’ve all had those days, those people, those unfortunate souls whose continued existence is an affront to inner peace. But instead of acting on any unwholesome urges, I’ve discovered a much healthier alternative: simply imagining their demise with serene, mindful intent. It’s basically meditation but with a body count (strictly in my head, for legal reasons).
Beyond its darkly funny premise, the book is genuinely smart and creative, sneaking in actual mindfulness techniques amidst the structured mayhem. Dusse’s sharp wit and deadpan delivery make for an absolute page-turner, so to speak, and I can confidently say that no self-help book has ever made me laugh this hard—or feel this at peace with the world. Joe Turner’s narration is exceptional.
Murder Mindfully is a delightfully twisted, utterly hilarious story that will teach you how to stay present, embrace tranquility, and, if necessary, plan the perfect theoretical crime. Highly recommended for anyone who has ever thought, “You know what would really help my stress levels? A little bit of well-intentioned homicide.”

Great mix of wellbeing and murder
I loved the development of the main character from stressed layer into a relax character with quite a different life. I hope I would listen this again.

Great Listen
Hooked from the opening paragraph. Narrator was perfect for the character. I related to so many innuendoes and broke out laughing during the reading. Folks in the grocery store must have thought me nuts (phone blue tooth to hearing aids). I loved it!

This was great!
I usually don't listen to fiction and would prefer a "self-Help" style book on mindfulness, but we watched the series on Netflix and found it very entertaining. I immediately looked for the book and thoroughly enjoyed an amusing take on applying mindfulness to everyday life. The reader was great and used different voices for each character, which I also really enjoyed. I wish there was more to this series, because it was really good.

Witty, Humorous, Entertaining, & Insightful
After seeing the Netflix adaptation of this novel for the screen, I was pleased to find that its release coincided with the releases of its translation into English, and this audiobook. For fans of the screen version, you’ll be happy to hear that it is quite well adapted from the novel without any significant changes. The authors vision for this book is satisfying; serving wit, humor, and mindfulness in equal measure.
