About this listen

Jonathan Miller has the beginnings of a blossoming romance with Miriam Koenig, but the call of rumspringa is too much of temptation. Despite her pleas, he leaves the Amish community and makes his way into the city. Having been given a name and an address, Jonathan makes his way to Mark's apartment. Mark used to be part of the Amish community but has chosen to leave the church. Now he looks after the young men who come for their rumspringa year. At first, Jonathan loves his new freedom, realizing that the only thing he misses a little, is Miriam. When a tragic murder happens during a party Jonathan attends, Jonathan quickly realizes the blessings he had in his simpler life. He also now realizes the person he loves the most may be out of his grasp forever.

Disappointing

I thought that I would enjoy this book, but it was a disappointment. The performance wasn't uniform, the actor's voice would inflect differently each time he did the voices of the characters. It became hard to follow. I lost interest quickly. Even though I finished it, I would never listen to it again.

Ok Not for me

It was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I was deeply disappointed. I was hoping for a mystery and intrigue. Would not recommend. Boring but what can you expect from a short story? A lot if you are great story teller.
