Publisher's summary

Miss Busby investigates a murder at Little Minton.

A picturesque Cotswolds village at Christmas, 1922. A man found face down floating in the lake. He was known to take risks: an insurance salesman—debonair, charming, and sweet-talking.

His clients were all ladies of a certain age, but nothing was as it seemed; he was playing a game, he pushed his luck, he put a price on his head, and somebody decided to collect.

Miss Busby helped Major Heathcliff Lennox solve a series of murders at Bloxford in the Cotswolds. Now, she finds herself drawn into a new murder, but this time, it's just her, and she must rely on her sharp mind and sharper wits to catch a Cotswolds killer, along with a handsome police inspector and a reporter who's keen to make her mark.

Full of twists and turns, Miss Busby Investigates: Murder at Little Minton is a real mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. With its strong protagonist and charming Christmas setting, this book is a must-listen for fans of classic whodunits and cozy mysteries alike.

A cozy and interesting story!

It gave a wonderful impression of an English village and the kind of people who lived there...

As cozy as a mystery gets!

Christmas, small town, retired teacher and a dead body - enough said! Seriously though, it was a great listen - especially on a dark & rainy day - made it that much better by a marvelous performance of its narrator.
Give it a try! Especially if your preference for cozy mysteries lays in the “cozy” part :)

A new series?

I love the Heathcliff Lenox stories and was hoping there would be another installment. I decided to give this book a try.

I thought there were a huge amount of characters to keep track of, not only the detective, but also a reporter, a police chief, pets, helpers, other police officers, and the many characters that make up the mystery. All of these characters live in the small town of Little Minton, so I suppose the authors felt it necessary to introduce the town to us. In the end it came together with a pleasant ending. Themes of elderly needs, community, love and loneliness were very clear.

Very much enjoyed

Miss Busby is definitely a more serious character than Heathcliff lol, but the book was excellent, and I hope the series will continue!

Nice cosy mystery.

Being a very senior citizen, myself, I appreciate it the characters of the older women, and the fact that the sleuth was a lady of my age. It was quite fun, listening to this. The characters were so interesting, and the story wound itself nicely enough to be a true mystery. I shall follow this series.

Good first attempt!!!

The main protagonist was smart and intelligent. Her assistant Adeline was brash and boring. Whenever Adeline spoke I was always distracted by her demeanor.

The setting offered obvious clues about the murder but not the culprit. Brilliance in character development, story plot and structure.
