Second book I’ve listened to with virtual voice. The voice is so boring and monotone. All the characters sound alike. Totally ruins the story. I won’t listen to another book using this method

Terrible reading using virtual voice

Reading was better than most virtual voice but still lacked warmth and heart a live voice gives

Virtual voice?

I do not like virtual voice at all! It lacks all feeling for the story.

Could barely take the narration. Sounded like someone with a sore throat. Don’t use AI generation.

Meh

The AI narrator, absolutely awful missed script in parts cracking noise that I’m sure wasn’t part of the story

Nothing really it was predictable, I almost gave up on it .

Don't know why all the complaints about AI voice, better than an over emoting actor or a narrator who attempts accents that don't work. I think the problem was the writing. So many cliches and hokey/mawkish words and sentences. It was easy to figure out the twist because only 2 people left standing as the saying goes. I would not recommend nor will I move on in the series. I hope I never hear "Amy girl" one more time... Cringe.

Boring and no twist

the AI generated voice was awful, too robotic. I listened to 3 chapters to give it a chance, wish I could have that credit back! the performance of the reader is as important as the story. I will be careful not to buy any books that have AI voices.

the terrible reading!

I was so turned off by the virtual voice that I disliked the story, et al. This was a freebie and I'm so glad I didn't pay for it. I'm not sure I want to listen to another story by the author. I'll be keeping an eye out for this"virtual voice" thing. Ugh.

Virtual voice sucks

Poorly written. Juvenile plot. Terrible narrator (computer has no soul)
I will never buy an NC Lewis book!
