I really enjoyed listening to this audio recording. Short stories don't frequently catch my attention like this.

Interesting

Great writer. Not much more detail about the first case than available in a news article but the second story was well written and read and nicely tied in the first in some ways. I loved the blend of true crime with paranormal as well.

Excellent second story

This is a tale of two chilling murder cases, one in 1975 and the next in 1995, that occurred across the street from one another on Minor Avenue in Hamilton, Ohio. Bizarre and chilling, the first one, a father murdered all eight of his children, his wife, his brother, sister-in-law and his mother, one right after the other in their home. Then he posed the guns beside each body and called the police. That man, James Ruppert, is serving a life sentence in Ohio State Prison. The next case, in 1995 is the murder of Tina Mott, who was murdered by her boyfriend, Timothy Bradford, who was the father of her child. Both of these tales of gruesome murder are like horror movies, but they are real . . . and very sad. The author does an excellent job of telling what was going on in the minds of these two men (as much as anyone can comprehend) and the backgrounds of the men. The arrival of law enforcement to the scenes is detailed and their discoveries of the evidence.
