Publisher's summary

Jackson Kelly may have been middle-aged and the vice president of the exclusive Oceana Resort Hotel. But Jackson loved to surf. And he loved the ladies, who were mostly young women he referred to as his “diversions”.

When he dies on the beach while surfing with no apparent injuries, the question is: “What happened to him?” Too bad he had an angry-looking rash on his leg.

And Dani and Arthur were only at the resort to cater a dinner meeting for the resort’s stockholders! When the coroner says, yes, it was murder, they have their work cut out for them - another mystery to solve.

The owner of the resort and his family have a lot to gain financially if Jackson’s dead. But maybe, it was a crime of passion. His wife or current “diversion” could have done it. A lot of interests to be protected. Greed, revenge, hatred - those are all possible motives.

This is the third book in the Chef Dani Rosetti Cozy Mystery Series by USA Today best-selling author.

Excellent

His diversions loved him, and then there the owners who wanted him dead. A time away for Dani and Arthur now has turned to a murder to solve. Always enjoyable with good narration. Given audio for my voluntary review.

Beware: Surfing can be deadly if there are sharks around!

Murder on the Beach is another great cozy book in the Chef Dani Rosetti series by Dianne Harman. I’ve read them out of order but it doesn’t matter to my understanding of the characters and enjoyment of the book. Each book in this series is set in different location and it feels like I’m on a vacation when I read / listen to a Chef Dani Rosetti book. The narration by Anna Wheeler was great. I look forward to listening to another in the series.

Beach murder

Dani and Arthur are off at a fancy resort to cater an important dinner meeting. What could be better than a fun beach vacation? But the vice president of the resort ends up murdered. Somehow Dani and Arthur get involved with the investigation. There are some different people who could have killed him. There’s lots of fun throughout the story. Dani’s niece is along with them and she’s learning about restaurants and surfing. The dogs are with them also. I’ve been enjoying the characters in this new series! The narration of the audiobook was really good.

Once again Dianne Harmon and Anna Wheeler

Once again Dianne Harmon and Anna Wheeler don't disappoint. The story line is easy to follow, not to many characters. I was seriously chuckling though when the story claimed that the hang ten symbol is the same as the shocker symbol, not true at all! But it gave a good giggle. Her books do inspire me to branch out in my cooking a bit more and try new things. Anna does a great job narrating it, love her accent, just a little but not too much.
