About this listen

I never expected one fire rescue to thrust me into a fake dating scheme with my sister’s best friend.

When I dragged Sanaa’s daughter from the flames, I didn't expect to get sucked into her mess—especially not with her ex breathing down her neck.

To protect her, I let her crash at my place, sparking a whole new kind of trouble.

Her sass and fire draw me in, despite the risks of being my sister’s best friend.

When her ex resurfaces, she blurts out we're dating.

I’ll play along, but I won’t let him threaten what’s mine.

I’ve got a gut feeling she's in danger, and damn if I don't want to protect her at all costs.

I'll risk everything to keep her safe, but she needs to trust me if we're going to make it through this together.

Get rid of the AI narration.

I feel the story could have been a great one. However the AI narration makes it very hard to follow the story line properly and gives the characters no emotion or differentiation. There is no inflection in voice, absolutely no emotion in the reading of the story... and that's all it is, is a computer reading the book. I feel human narrators breathe life into each character and into the storyline allowing you to fully immerse yourself in what you're listening to.
