About this listen

According to the terms of her mother's will, Ashly cannot cash in on her inheritance until she and Jake travel to nearly a dozen locations around the globe. The thought of pairing up with her old flame makes her blood boil, but she has little choice other than to put up with her despicable ex.

Can Ashly put up with Jake through her globe-hopping scavenger hunt to get her family fortune? Will she ever be able to forget or forgive being dumped on her wedding day? When wounds run so deep, is forgiveness even possible between old lovers? Or is it, "Goodbye!" all over again, after everything is said and done?

This is not erotica. This is a love story and a romance. For mature listeners only. There are sexual situations, but no graphic sex.

More of the same

Jake and Ashley are following the terms of her mother's will and flying around the world, visiting the places she's chosen and taking a picture to prove they were there together. They will get $25 million each if they can follow through. By the 3rd or 4th chapter, I was ready to give up on Ashley and her inability to make up her mind and stay on track! The woman is swooning over Jake until her "brain" tells her to push him away. I'm surprised I didn't have whiplash by the end of the story. The descriptions of the destinations are vivid and it's obvious just how much fun Jake and Ashley are having. Jake professes his deep feelings for her and apologizes for having let her down so often, that I wanted to tell him to just let it rest. She had to make up her mind whether she could forgive him or not, but not rely on her emotions to come to a decision. I detected a change in Ashley when she found Jake chatting up another woman in the pool and I just about high-fived him! Why sit around and take her loathsome crap! The ending was a disappointment when she, once again, wouldn't forgive Jake. But it took an enlightened turn with a little discussion with Jake's parents. Loved the epilogue! My eyes were leaking and it felt so good to see where they were in their lives, physically and emotionally.
The narrator's voice was pleasant, well-modulated and she did a good job with giving each character a unique voice and personality.
