Publisher's summary

Okay, so he wasn’t actually my ex.

August is my best friend’s older brother, and he just went with me to Macy and Gideon’s wedding. You know, friends with no benefits.

Then we ended up having sex at said wedding.

At the reception, not during the actual ceremony. Hello, I have some manners.

We agreed to not do it again. Until I thought I was pregnant. And instead of being upset, I was happy.

Except I wasn’t. Pregnant, that is.

Then I drunk dialed August and asked him to make a baby with me.

On purpose.

I wanted to take it back. To die of shame.

But the next thing I knew, he was at my door....

Author’s note: The hero doesn't start out as a single father, but practice makes perfect. My Ex’s Baby is a standalone romantic comedy with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Baby

Another great Crescent Cove love story from Taryn Quinn. They all have been great and each unique. This story was so captivating that I could visualize myself shopping in Kinleigh's Attic and August furniture store. Then the excitement of August & Kinleigh finally giving into their attraction and making a baby.
The narrators, Wen Ross & Kai Kennicott brought the stories to life. they were perfect for this series.

August and Kenley

This is a great addition to the series. These two crafty characters are meant for each other. Narration is great as well.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

Crescent Cove is one of my favorite places to visit, I am loving this series and the great characters in this fictional town created by Taryn Quinn, two of my favorite authors. This book is Kinleigh and August’s story, whom we met in earlier book, Kinleigh’s best friend is Ivy, August’s younger sister. I adored both these characters, August is a sweet heart of a man, he and Kinleigh split a building, he established his business custom made furniture as well as restoring old pieces on the ground floor and she took the second floor expanding her vintage clothing business renamed to Kinleigh’s Attic. She has an eye for fashion and takes takes old pieces and puts new life into them, making it stylish and current. There is great chemistry between these two but Kinleigh does not want to cross a line with him for the sake of her friendship of Ivy. They wind up giving into their desires after Macy & Gideon’s wedding, he wants more but she is a tough person and has trouble letting anyone in. I loved how their story plays out, he was a patient man, I was afraid he was going to give up on her but thankfully he stuck it out. This book is beautifully plotted and there is never a dull moment, with plenty of drama, some charming humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and a friends to lovers slow burn romance. Taryn Quinn, thank you for another wonderful story, it was great to catch up with some of the other series characters too.

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are talented narrators and voice artists. They are awesome at portraying the characters, bringing them to life, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. Wen Ross’ August was perfection sounding just as I pictured him to sound, a grounded, down to earth alpha male. It was great to hear him bring out his Irish again for Rory. Kai Kennicott’s Kinleigh was perfect too, you could hear her strength and determination as well as vulnerabilities. As always, their duet performance enhances the story another level, they grasp the chemistry between the characters and all of their emotions which is reflected in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen🎧

A nice addition to the series

Another wonderful story! We run into the best friends brother trope, which I love. We get to see the wedding of a Macy and Gideon and spend time with Viv and Moose. Also Ivy and Rory. Ivy’s brother who does woodworking has always liked Ivy’s best friend. They stores are near each other which causes them to interact. His woodworking skills are out of this world. Then there is her shop of repurposed stuff. Each of these are very cool. That chance that he takes outside the hospital to kiss her....was toe curling.

I did listen to this on audio and Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott do a wonderful job playing these characters. They are easy on the ears!

Great story!

Kinleigh Scott is surrounded by people getting married and having babies. She does live in Crescent Cove after all, which is fabled to have some kind of magical water that makes people fall in love and pop the babies out. August Beck is her best friend's brother so he's a bit off limits, right? Whatever the equivalent of the bro code is for women. But that doesn't stop them from a one night stand. Which leads to a pregnancy scare, a negative test, and a story of August being allergic to latex. Turns out the story about latex allergies was just a story and the negative test was actually a positive. The title was misleading because August was never an ex, but this visit to Crescent Cove was a great escape from the real world events. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross have yet again done a phenomenal job of dually narrating this story. So much talent packed into this book!

That pesky detail...the bff older brother!

Kinleigh has always had a thing for August Beck but he’s her best friend’s older brother and she can’t risk losing her friend! Then the unthinkable happens, Kin and August have a quickie during a friend’s wedding reception...and now she is having baby fever. Another great story in the beautiful town of Crescent Cove. Took me a while to warm up to Kinleigh...she kept hurting August’s feelings and he’s a great guy, but she won me over in the end. Excellent performance by one of my fave narration teams.
