About this listen

For over 60 years, Charlie P. Meo kept records and journals of his life. From the streets of downtown Johnstown to the suburbs of Phoenix, he has recorded his journey as a Sicilian-American in this country.

Starting all the way back in the 1800's, this book covers the life and history of Charlie P. Meo and his family line. Although this is not an official "Meo Family History," it covers tons of ground and stories from the American Meo line.

The Meo story starts on the beautiful island of Sicily and ends in the warm desert of Arizona. Through immigration, trials, persecution, perseverance, and love, the Meo family has made their way in America. This story will cover broad strokes of the Meo family line from 1830 to now, but it will also do a dive deep into the life of Charlie P. Meo.

Affectionally known as "Nanu" by his kids, grandkids, and now great grandkids, Charlie P. Meo has truly lived a remarkable life. This book seeks to honor him, as well as provide other accounts of different members within the Meo line.

Ultimately, this book is a love letter from a grandson (C.V. Meo) to a grandfather (Charlie P. Meo) to honor, cherish, and pay tribute to the man who made our family happen. The current Meo line is in Charlie P. Meo's debt and we will be forever thankful for the work, perseverance, and example he set for us.
