Critic reviews

"The long-running adventure serial...was one of the hallmarks of the Golden Age of radio....Superman was never able to fly as high on television as he had for an adventure-filled decade in radio's theater of the imagination." (Anthony Tollin, "Superman on Radio")

Short and to the point. I particularly liked the old commercials contained in the broadcast.

FELLOWS AND GIRLS
Cute, with a misleading title. It turns out that the FLYING MONSTER, is a rocket ship. An explosion is heard, but no one even sees the rocket ship and I am not sure that the word MONSTER is even used anywhere in the story.

HISTORY IS JUST A BUNCH OF NEWSPAPERS
It was fun hearing the old theme music , which is the same as was heard on the TV show. Like other reviewers I also like hearing the old commercials, which were all from the same company. If you liked the show, they had a new episode, three days a week.

A PEACH

I adore these and wish Audible had more of them - like the episodes with Batman in fhem. Bud Collyer is my favorite Superman/Clark Kent. These are radio serials that aired in the 40s and 50s, one episode per week, complete with commercials. It's probably my most listened to purchase, very nostalgic.

I wish it was longer!
