Critic reviews

"An enthralling, heartbreaking and thrilling courtroom drama that had me shouting out loud and gripped until the last page." (Nadine Matheson, author of The Jigsaw Man)

"Brilliantly tense, this is another clever page-turner from Kia Abdullah. A nightmare scenario evolves into an engrossing human drama that I couldn’t put down. Just superb." (Louise Hare, author of This Lovely City)

"A stunning courtroom drama, taut, tantalising, deftly paced, with a denouement that will leave you reeling." (Saga magazine)

"Abdullah’s legal thrillers make John Grisham seem like a maiden aunt." (Sunday Times Crime Club)

This seems like a simple story, tragic accident, court case looking for someone to blame. However the whole time you are aware something is coming and despite the many scenarios I had in my head, I did not see the twists and turns that gave me whiplash at the end. Highly recommended
