About this listen

The Paiutes warned the settlers, but they didn’t listen. Now, their desert town, Big Bell Station, is cursed. A century later, Big Bell has become a failed casino town and money launderer’s paradise where depravity is overlooked and morality is scarce, and where the desert—and the coyotes—have a deadly mind of their own. When a scorned outlaw motorcycle club and a wanted jewel thief find themselves in the godforsaken town, they’ll stay just long enough to get the revenge and retribution they came for and get out. But when the Devil of the Desert comes home…No one is going anywhere.

I’ve read this excellent story both in paperback and on a Kindle. The author has written a truly captivating and compelling narrative primarily set in a fictional western US desert location. The style is unique and contemporary, yet is familiar to those who know Quentin Tarantino’s or Stephen King’s works. The audiobook is expertly narrated, and further draws you in to this engaging story of interesting yet flawed people who find themselves dealing with good and evil on many levels. The story begs for a prequel, a sequel, and a screenplay. Your imagination easily conjures vivid scenes set in the western desert and elsewhere as the plot unfolds. This is a wonderful read and an immersive listen. Get it — you will love it!
