About this listen
These are a collection of new poems and some poems taken from the vault of Timothy Paul Brown. As usual they express the trials and tribulations, the glory and the pain, the grandiosity and obsession, the paranoid deluded thinking that come with having a paranoid schizophrenic disability.
There is so much intensity and passion exhibited in this work of art. The author will take you to places you have never been in mind and spirit. You will feel empathy and compassion probably some sympathy. But these poems are not meant to make its listeners feel sorry for the author. They are his way of emancipating himself from all that he faces. A purging so to speak. This is therapy for him and entertainment for the world at large.
Join the author on his journey. Indulge in his life as someone who battles mental illness. Love the man for being so brave and respect him as a human being. One love to all!

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Maureen has worked hard to move beyond the violence of the past and build a good, honest life for herself. Audrey, however, just can't seem to do the same, careening from one state of chaos to another.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

When Heather McKinley dreamed of becoming a doctor, she imagined curing sick kids and sporting pink stethoscopes. She never anticipated the sleepless nights, grueling exams, and endless labs. And she certainly never knew that her medical school earned the nickname Dead Med thanks to the tragic history of students overdosing on illegal drugs. But Heather would never consider doing anything like that. That is, until her longtime boyfriend dumps her, she finds herself failing anatomy, and her world starts to crumble.

A New Era of Poetic Brilliance
MIn the realm of literature where the echoes of Sylvia Plath's poignant verses and Virginia Woolf's introspective prose profoundly resonate, Timothy Paul Brown emerges as a beacon of modern poetic expression. His latest audiobook, "No Way Out," narrated with fervent passion by Adetunji Fasoranti, transcends the traditional boundaries of poetry and mental health narratives, establishing Brown as a pioneering voice in contemporary literature.
While Plath and Woolf navigated the tumultuous waters of mental illness through their work, Brown delves even deeper, offering an unfiltered glimpse into the life of someone living with paranoid schizophrenia. His poetry is not just a reflection of personal struggles; it's a bold declaration of resilience, a testament to the indomitable human spirit that refuses to be confined by societal labels or medical diagnoses.
What sets Brown apart is his ability to transform his lived experiences into a universal language of hope, courage, and liberation. His poems are more than just words; they are lifelines thrown into the vast ocean of human emotion, offering solace and understanding to those who find themselves adrift. Brown's work is a clarion call to all who seek meaning in the midst of chaos, a reminder that even in the darkest corners of the mind, there is light to be found.
For those who have found solace in the haunting beauty of Plath's verses or the depth of Woolf's narratives, Timothy Paul Brown's "No Way Out" offers a new horizon. It's an invitation to explore the complexities of the psyche through the lens of someone who not only endures but transcends the challenges of mental illness. Brown's poetry is a bridge between the past and the present, a fusion of timeless themes with the raw, unvarnished truth of modern living.
In "No Way Out," listeners will discover not just a collection of poems, but a journey of transformation—one that challenges, inspires, and ultimately reaffirms the power of the human spirit to overcome. Timothy Paul Brown is not just following in the footsteps of literary giants; he is carving his own path, leaving a trail of light for others to follow.💡
