About this listen

Before Shaméd the Wizard, Rednogording the King of the Dragons was uniting the races by forming a coalition to fight evil in the solar system. In his adventures, he discovers a special planet. As he explores this new world, he finds evidence of a forgotten civilization and magic left behind. When he dies from a serious injury cause by protecting his mate, Rednogording leaves behind a chaotic coalition, and a son, Nogar who has to put it all back together with the help of his subjects. The special planet, forgotten for a time, until Nogar’s mother reminds him about it, and he journeys to continue his father’s investigation of it.They lived before the creation of time, playing in the oceans, air, and on land. They could go wherever they wanted. For some that meant there was no planet out of their reach. One such creature roamed from planet to planet learning and searching, searching for the ONE who had created them. He, like all the others similar to him, believed all other living creatures were there for their enjoyment, to play with or to be food. As far as they were concerned, they were the most intelligent creatures the One created. They called themselves Dragons. There are many types of dragons. Some live in water and others on land. They do not agree about many things, but the one thing all dragons agree on is they are not like the wyverns. Dragons have arms, legs, and wings on their backs.Wyverns have two back legs and their front arms are part of their wings. Wyverns for the most part, have the same abilities as dragons. However, there are more dragons than wyverns. When the dragons discovered the new creatures, time began for the universe. These new creatures were different. Most walked upright on their back legs on land, but some lived in the oceans. The dragons watched them and found these new creatures did not have the powers of dragons. A few of them had mind speech, but they could not shapeshift or teleport between worlds, therefore, the dragons treated them like all other animals: they were prey.As time went by, dragons saw more differences between these new animals and other creatures. They made tools and their cultures quickly advanced. They lived like other animals in groups, and they seemed to be able to plan and work together. They learned about fire and made homes in caves. They were very different from any animal the dragons had ever seen. Besides their ability to build things, these new creatures fought back when a dragon or a wyvern tried to eat them. Occasionally, they even killed a dragon or wyvern. This was unheard of. No other animal ever did this before. Dragons only died when they fought one another or from natural causes. The dragons found these new creatures differed in other ways. Some of them would dig into the ground or move into caves to make their homes, not unlike many small furry creatures. Others built homes high in the trees. Some lived in the waters of their planet, building homes from the rocks, but most lived on the land. All of them used what they found on their planet to build whatever they wanted with little regard for how it impacted the planet or other creatures. They treated their planet and the other animals, as dragons did, as food and for their own purposes. These creatures grew, not in size, but in numbers. On the worlds where they appeared, their numbers grew to thousands. Most dragons believed if they did not stop them, they would eventually overpopulate their planet, killing and destroying it. Even the Wyverns felt the same. There was a meeting of all dragons. Those who could transport met on the homeworld of Rednogording the dragon king. Those that did not have this ability sent representatives to speak on their behalf. Action & Adventure Epic Fantasy Solar System Dragons Fiction
