English version needs a native English speaker

Extremely difficult to understand this performance and was distracting to listen to. Also, snakes aren't poisonous. They are venomous. This was said many times throughout the book.

Not disappointing

I very much looked forward to this release, knowing the author would bring a new point of view in his retelling of classic Norse myths. He did not disappoint, and this book was a swift in clear prose style. I enjoyed the subtle humor that only enhanced a story where appropriate, and did not alter the pace of the legends.

Wonderful

I read various Norse myths years ago for an English class, and I really enjoyed them. The retold myths read easily and both remain true to the source material while not seeming antiquated.

Well

This book is well I say. But it seems to me I'm not fully satisfied with the stories. It can't be happened to you though.

It was fun

I felt I was witnessing these stories as they were told to the Norse of old. Though the plots are a bit juvenile and the gods, giants, ogres and dwarfs are treated with much hyperbole, this only creates a believable story out of an unbelievable one. Though the author has produced many other literary gems, this is for me the most fun.

Nice storytelling

As someone who had a general knowledge of Norse mythology, I can't say this book breaks any new ground for me, but I still enjoyed it immensely. It's that easy storytelling style that the author does so well that let me breeze through it. He's truly a fantastic storyteller, and this an accessible, fun adaptation of those myths.

Wonderful!!!

I read various Norse myths years ago, and I really enjoyed them. The author's retelling is something I enjoyed even more. The retold myths read easily and both remain true to the source material while not seeming antiquated. They make me want to pull out the Prose Edda again, but, beyond that, they stand wonderfully on their own.
