About this listen

North is an adaptation from the screenplay and teleplay of the same name written by Yvette Kendall. The plot of the story is as follows:

The campaign slogan that ruined the world is what compelled Winston Gale to write his infamous expose in 2015. Unfortunately, that decision caused him to lose his job, which prompted him to make an impulsive journey with grave consequences for himself and his Fiancée.

Winston's knee-jerk decision to pay homage to his ancestor's by recreating his own version of "The Great Migration" quickly goes from bad to worse. While traveling NORTH from Atlanta to Chicago, the pair encounters a string of strange incidents, creatures, and eerie revelations that repeatedly threaten their lives in strange and terrorizing ways.

I'm confident that my lack of familiarity in the book and movie genres that I listed in the title of my review prevented me from having the ultimate experience when reading this book, but the story kept me curious and anxious even past the end of the book.

I understand why it's called a horror on a philosophical level, but it felt more like a thriller, an I love thrillers.

I would love to have seen this on TV or in a movie, the concepts and characters were really vivid.

Due to my my lack of familiarity with horror and history, if I'm to be honest, I found myself doing a lot of research on terms, numbers, phrases, and names, while also adding to my reading collection.

I enjoyed the overall concept, the authenticity of the characters, and the permission that was given to the characters to be both intellectual and outgoing.

I have yet to be disappointed in the works of Yvette Kendall.

I appreciate the journey and reflection that this book forced upon me!

I'm not a fan of horror, history, or fiction books, but I like how the author merged them all together to birth this book!
